I saw 3 OL and a handful of other players. About 8 total. Didn't see EVERYONE.

 

And Fulcher is right on with the complaint that we have. THEY WEREN'T WINNING and he was still acting like he was. It was no longer appropriate. It is NOT about the team when you wear a jacket promoting yourself for the HOF.

He loses the arrogant athlete bit and he is a key member of any future success of this team and I would be a fan of his. Just don't like athletes who think they are more important than the team. And his actions shows he does.

 

How has what he has done shown that he believes he is more important than the team? If this was so true, most of his teammates probably would be wanting him gone, instead of sticking up for him, and telling him that they wanted him to go back to being the old Chad...

I agree... I have nothing wrong with Chad celebrating, just do it within the guidelines to the point where it doesn't hurt the team.

They were telling him that they all wanted him to go back to being the old Chad Johnson. I mean even one of them even said, if Chad needs to celebrate to produce then I am all for it..So as I said before I think its not very hard to believe that his teammates probably even told him that he should go celebrate if he scores...Its kind of like what the Georgia Bulldogs did with their little celebration. If that is what it took to get them going to believe in themselves then so being. And in this case apparently this is what Chad needed to do to get himself going again. Now if he would have done it again after the first celebration, then I would have been upset about it with you all...

When he went to the camera he didn't give his "teammates" a chance to celebrate w/ him. I didn't listen to Boomer or Bill. If Bill were the coach Chad wouldn't act like a whiny baby who needs all of the attention or he wouldn't play for Cincy. They aren't winning unless you consider 4-7 winning. He was quoted as saying he's not celebrating b/c there's nothing to celebrate until the team is back to .500. Nobody is guessing this b/c it came from his mouth.

Willie the week before made a comment that they needed to be less Hollywood. And well you would be wrong about Willie Anderson because he and Palmer had this to say about Chad Johnson in a article last week before the game:

So lets see we have a former coach of his,and three captains of the football team in Palmer, Willie, and Thorton saying how they loved Chad and wanted the old Chad to be back. But yeah you were right I was just guessing, when I said that people wanted the old Chad back.

 

Honestly the only people guessing around here, is the people who say that he only cares about himself, and doesn't care about the team as much as himself. You all have had nothing to really go on to support that well Chad doesn't care about winning as much as he does himself. Actually a lot of things go against what you all have been saying. I have shown you here instances from people just last week saying how Chad is DEFINITELY not a distraction to the team, and how they all love Chad. And that they actually wanted him to go back to being his old self. But yeah I guess I was the one who was wrong when I said his teammates probably even wanted him to go ahead and celebrate, since there were things from his teammates pretty much suggesting that he does...:sssh:

Are we really saying that in order for a pro athlete to perform at his peak level that he MUST be allowed to garner 15 yard penalties? We're OK with that? No one sees the problem with that?

I see no problem with it happening from time to time. If it were an every game thing, then it's a problem. As Striker said, I believe this is the 1st time he's gotten flagged.

I think it has only been penalty, not penalties so far on Chad for celebrations..Also yes for this one time yes, I do think it was ok. But now if he starts making this a weekly thing where he is costing us on 15 yard penalties then I will also have a problem with it. With that said I dont believe we will see a another celebration penalty on Chad this year...

Well I think need to just let him have fun, because he does play better that way. And if he wants to celebrate Td's go right ahead, but he just needs to go back to making sure that his celebrations don't cost them a penalty, and he had been good at doing that until this one. So I think we will see him continue to celebrate in some ways, but just not ways that would cost the team a penalty. I think this one was just a statement that he is getting back to his old self. But as I said before if he starts getting flags for celebrations every game, then I will have a problem with it as well...

Thats what he have to do to put up with Levi Jones. It's only a 10 yard penalty for him though.
