Connor scored the first 9 points of the game and then widened that lead to 27-13 at the half.

 

Somehow NewCath rallied in the fourth period behind Geisler and Doyle despite only using 6 players and facing a full court press the entire game. Took the lead with 1:22 left.

 

Conner has a decent team. Good pressing team as they pressed NewCath into turnovers the entire game and NewCath never pressed. They go fairly deep. No real size but they rebound fairly well.

 

NewCath has two scoring options basically and some role players. They don't handle the ball real well but rebound okay. If Cain and/or Kelly join after football is over they should be a little deeper and a little better.

Covington Catholic beat St. Henry freshman the other day by thirteen points.

Montgomery Co. bounces back from the game with Scott Co. and beats Bourbon Co tonight. I don't know the exact score, but it was around a 20 point win.

Yes I can. Brennan Kling is nice player. He handles the ball pretty well and likes to go to the basket.

 

They also have a nice player in John Patula. He's better ball handler but needs to become a bigger scoring threat and rebounder.

 

Lets remember St. Henry's best freshman guard is playing JV, Zach Barnett. Very nice PG/SG.

This would be Cubby Conley. He'd be a Center at St. Henry but he's probably a SF/PF at CCH. Handles the ball pretty well, probably the most athletic Freshman in the Region, very "raw" player. Can dunk right now.

 

CCH very much benefited from Football this year. At least 2 players from St. Henry feeder shcools are at CCH b/c of football, and both are nice bball players.

WOW!! Wasn't Highlands pretty good in 8th Grade last year. Are there a few guys from Highlands playing up to JV???

They could use another point guard. The one they have now is good but he has to play a lot of minutes because they don't have anyone really consistent to give him a break.
