Why not? The only thing I could think of is that we have an old Army fort in our town and maybe it shows some tradition of what our past history was. I know thats probably a stretch, but it sure sounds cool.

Nice to know that we are teaching our kids a broad history of Northern Kentucky. By the way, I was a substitute teacher at HHS and Dixie. Dixie, IMHO is the closest school I have seen to taking so much care in providing quality education to their students.

Not a chance that it would ever be fired for NC or anyother school in the area. Heck they don't even fire it for anyother Highlands sport. Such as basketball, soccer, baseball, etc. Strictly FOOTBALL!

I have a great idea for NCC when they build their new football complex. They should get some of those penny horses that you put money in and ride. That would be great for the kids. I think there is one or two down the hill at the KMART in the shopping center. That would be a hoot. It also seems that it would be the closest to having a real horse near the stadium.

I think the guys that dreamed it up just thought it would be really cool. I don't know, never thought about it and never asked but it will now. I like the Fort connnection but I'm not sure that was really in the equation.

 

I will say this, at one point a guy looked into getting an osterach (sp) I'm on medicine today and not all that clear. They wanted to run the bird up and down the field at the beginning of each game. It was strongly advised against because they can be really mean and with kids and fans around it could be dangerous. Unlike a CANNON.:lol::lol::lol:

Those things are scarey. I had one run at me one time at the zoo. I would think that would be a bad idea. How about getting one of those bird tamers to bring a Bald Eagle to fly over the stadium and come back. Thats pretty cool to see.
