^ I would imagine it would have to be on the D-1AA level at best...I hope not, but size matters more than it should...

 

Size gets you in the door...and keeps the coaches from your door. He'll probably play Division I-AA somewhere and be really good, then everyone will wonder why Kentucky/Louisville, etc. didn't recruit him!

I'd say his Mr. Football candidacy is picking up steam. If Lone Oak could just get to Louisville, then he has to win the award.

 

Justin Birk, the record holder in KY that he beat, got to Louisville, won the state championship and he didn't win! That is a crazy award that you just don't ever know about. Sad thing is, he is very deserving of the award and may end up being left out because of location and not playing against bigger named competition. None the less, a great player obviously and giving great credibility to the state!!

Truthfully...can this team win the 4A state championship? North Bullitt and then Warren East/Fairdale would both have to make the trip to Paducah.

 

The team really believes in themselves & its going to take a good team to beat them at flash field. I like our chances alot.

Not sure but the wide open offense, is very impressive and whomever advances past Lone Oak, will have get them in the 20's, because their defense gets after it also.

 

Lone Oak, also has some big kids on the line. Speed, solid QB, quickness and a wide open offensive scheme, is going to be tough to match-up with.

I'm not taking anything away, from another QB in the state but Lone Oak has consistently, put up impressive offensive numbers every game, which are directly resulting from Robinson and the offensive scheme.

 

His stats alone, are 1st Team All-State and Mr. Football worthy. He's a solid built young man, similar to Somerset's QB from a few years ago.

 

He'll also hit you on defense.

What colleges are looking at this guy? He must be getting some kind of attention.

 

Lexington Herald leader says that NC state, LSU, Tulane and Middle Tennesse state have made some calls to him, showing some interest.

As biased as I may be, he would get my vote (which I don't have )....as of right now.

If he's not a serious contender for the title, than whomever wins must be an outstanding player.

 

He has a quick 3-step drop and 5-step roll out, which impressed me. He even threw accurately, while rolling to his left and not easy, for a RH QB.

I know it's crazy to think about it, but since I'm watching the Hawaii game Robinson would fit in great for Hawaii or Texas Tech the way everybody is talking about how their offense is. I sure hope he gets to Louisville, so everybody can see this kid and like someone said earlier hope he gets to 100 that would be amazing. If he gets 100 this year they have to give him Mr. Football.

I would say about a legit 6'0 180 lbs...He is a VERY smart player with his decisions...it is sad he doesn't play closer to the big cities. The offense is fast and furious, but I don't care if you are playing 3rd graders...81 TD's in 12 games is SWEET! I believe he also has several rushing also...

 

That's small for bigtime D-1 without monster speed, but with his stats and decision making (81 TD's--4 INT's) he's got to have a collegiate future in 1-AA or below, if not smaller D-1!! Congrats to this kid, these are unbelievable numbers!!

You can't even post those type of numbers on a video game, kind of hard to believe.

I didn't see it listed, but the roster has Robinson listed at 6-3 and 195. I talked with him before the game and stood next to him, and he looks more like 6-2 and 180. I don't think that "size" will be a problem on the next level. One would think that when in college, he could put on at least another 15-20 pounds. He's a very smart young man, and a great role model for any youngster who wants to play football.

Travis Atwell came out of nowhere and won the award in a field similar to this one, talent wise. This kid's numbers are more impressive than Atwell's in my opinion.

I haven't seen him in person since late last year, so it is possible he grew and inch or so...and put on some weight.
