But I don't like when people point out what is wrong, without providing a solution for the situation. What do you advise should be done, because up to this point every form of punishment was unacceptable?

November 16, 200718 yr If incarceration doesn't stop violent criminals, how do you expect it to stop stupid criminals. It does stop them while they are incarcerated. You can't determine the merits of incarceration based solely on whether it's a deterrent or not. Incarceration is for punishment also. Having said that, I don't really see the need to put Lohan in jail based on this episode.
