November 11, 200718 yr Almost forgot, where would this team without Locke? The motor on this kid is just on another level. As quick a back as I've seen at UK in a long time.
November 11, 200718 yr Well, not that they had a good shot, but UK's hope at the SEC East is now gone. They can at best tie Florida, and after the tie breaker of head to head (meaning UK would need Georgia in a three way tie anyway), the tiebreaker is record in the division which goes to Florida.

Rich Brooks said before the season started, that he wanted his team to be a factor in the sec east race. So far, I'd say Kentucky is living up to what their coach wanted.

I don't understand why they are out of it. If they do somehow beat both Georgia and Tennessee there would probably be 4 teams 5-3. There would have to be some kind of tie breaker that's not head to head and UK would still have a shot depending on what the tiebreaker is.

If UK wins out, they'll also be 5-3. Florida holds the tie breaker by winning head to head. UF also has a better SEC east record (4-1) (UK is 1-2, would be 3-2 if they win out).
November 11, 200718 yr Can W's be M's? (I didn't get it) Stand on your head and take a look at your question and the answer will become obvious.
November 11, 200718 yr From the Nashville Tennessean: Adams' efforts go to waste Vandy's defense lets momentum slip away late Vandy's plan nearly works
November 11, 200718 yr At one point I really didn't think a win was possible, but like said a win is a win.

It's because after the head to head tiebreaker (which could be negated by having Georgia as part of a three way tie) it goes to divisional record, which as mobaar noted Florida is 4-1 in and UK can finish no better than 3-2.
November 11, 200718 yr Huge win for the Cats! I am ready for a bowl trip:ylsuper: I am too I hope it is in warm weather!
November 11, 200718 yr I agree that this was a big win for the Cats. In years past, this is a game that UK loses.
November 11, 200718 yr This game was about what I figured it would be. A tough faught close win late on the road. This was a big win as it should guarantee a bowl game. The next couple of weeks are going to take better efforts on both sides of the ball. I wish KY could get healthy! The offense still doesn't seem to be clicking like it was. Hopefully they blow up the next couple of weeks. I think it guarantees them a SEC bowl tie in.
