Good !Let the electorate decide . Get it on the ballot .

This State needs casinos, it would be an incredible financial boom.

I mean everyone is yelling and getting all mad, I'm just for letting the people decide, its a democracy, lets vote and let the people decide, and when this comes up on the ballot, I'll be right there voting for it!

A casino in Newport or Covington would be great. It would bring in a ton of money for the schools.

Covington Mayor Butch Callery was on 55KRC Thursday morning saying that devolpers and big money people have already been touring NKY looking for potential spots to possibly build in. They have been taking looks at Bellevue, Dayton, Newport, Covington, and Ludlow as possibilities. He said the mayors group from these cities are working in cooperation to get the ball rolling on this if / when it becomes available. He also said that Turfway Downs was also a potential spot...

In all seriousness, Turfway Park is the most likely spot.

Our governement is not a democracy.

If you want to get technical about it, no it isn't, but that doesn't negate the fact that this will be on a ballot for people to vote for.

If they're only going to have them joined with tracks, yes. Otherwise the riverfront would be the best spot.

A casino in Newport ? That would be coming full circle wouldn't it . I wonder how many children of the "Committee of 500" would want to invest in that .

Because we are not a democracy means we may not have the ability to vote for this soon. It's up to the House and Senate to give us the ability.
