I can't believe nobody has started this yet. CATS looked a little lathargic at times. Definitely need some post help, especially against the likes of U of L and NC. Patterson is going to be a monster.

Macy said it once, the 'Cats looked like they could turn in on/off, anytime they wanted. Several got playing time and working through the offense.

I thought they played hard on Defense and moved the ball well, on Offense. Finding the right mix, will take several games and may see several lineup changes.

Made the drive for the SEC Officiating clinic.

No way to get any rythum with the whistle that was on display tonight.

Deal with it folks, this UK team will be a work in progress at least until Christmas break, then they get into unlimited practice time.

Injuries and getting used to the new coach will take some time particularly with the season starting so early.

Obviously noticeable things from my seat. They play harder than they have in the past. The pressure the ball and pickup full court and players are having to adjust to the new style defense, hence more fouling.

They move the ball. They are getting shots off of movement and screens.

Definitely a group that is together...just a different look and feel than the have had in the past.

They can't pluck big men off the waiver wire or make trades, so they are going to really work on post play. Thought Stevenson made strides from last game to this game. Post play is what it is...

Legion made strides tonight...you can tell he has a nice stroke...still learning to paly hard on defense...backpeddles a lot.

Things will get better...

1) Patterson is the real deal

2) Gillespie is the real deal

3) I still think Bradley is a 2-guard (and despite what many will try to say, he is 110% pure heart and a great shooter)

4) Patterson and Morris sure would be nice down low!

5) This team will be the best thing we've seen in a while around here. They are finally ALL on the same page and that's a huge first step in the right direction.

While it is good to have that kind of ability, it could become a bad habit that sometimes is hard to break,

Sloppy game on the part of all 3 parties (UK, Seattle, and the officials) with over 50 fouls called and over 50 free throws attempted.

Patterson played pretty well tonight, he is going to be a great player. But apart from him, it is a black hole as far as our post game goes.

Just a side note, but I just cannot stand Ramel Bradley. His attitude and the way he plays the PG position just rub me the wrong way. I've disliked him since he stepped onto campus so this is nothing new, but with Gillispie's system and Ramel's supreme confidence in Ramel, this is going to be a long season for me.

I can never understand the Ramel bashing. He gives everything he has to the program, game in and game out. The reason he sucks at the PG position is because he is a SG, by nature. Its not his fault that he is being forced into an unnatural position.:fight:

I think Ramel has been excellent. He is not a PG by trade but is doing and adequate job. He has bought in to the BCG system.

He hasn't forced a bad shot yet in two exhibition games. He has been vocal on the court, and has been vocal in huddles and has been encouraging teammates. Have no qualms with Ramel thus far.

On a side note Ramon Harris will have an MRI tomorrow, either a strained foot or a stress fracture. I was wondering why he only played a little over 4 minutes.

Two exhibition wins and he's already "the real deal"? You're not hard to please.

I know enough about basketball to know that he is the real deal. It doesn't take much when you actually have knowledge of the game.

Looked a bit sluggish at times, love what Patterson brings to the table, him and Stevenson can really help an agressive defense. I love Meeks but he can't just sit on the perimeter shooting threes.

Haven't seen much of what Legion can do so far... I would've expected since his reputation is shooter that he would be a great free throw shooter, but I think he has missed all his attempts up to this point.

This truely looks like a new bunch of Cats....A lot of energy, the players smiling, running all over the floor, going after loose balls trying to make plays.

This team should be fun to watch. If I played in the stock market I would buy UK stock soon. We might be at 20 bucks a share but BCG is gonna bring us up to almost a 100 in a few years where we used to be.

Patterson is a beast. Meeks looks like a SR out there.

Kragthorpe was the "real deal" before the first practice. :argue:
