Don't get defensive. True or false, Lafayette does in fact have to adhere to a school boundry and Trinity does not have a boundry with regards to enrollment. Just a simple yes or no will suffice. Tell it like it really is.

No, I'm asking a simple question. Are the Lexington schools governed by districts? And if so is Trinity limited by districts or is it open enrollment for them? A simple yes or no is all that I need because that is the only answer. G'on you can say it, we already know the answer.

Lafayette played without their 3 ( Gifford being the best ) best players, take out Trinity's top three and they would also be a different team. Gifford played about 3 or 4 plays and still had a big 1st down catch, had he alone been healthy it would have made a big difference.

Their team would have been a lot more confident with #40 on the field.

Hopefully, we'll get to play you guys again in the playoffs with everyone healthy from Lafayette. I'm pulling for you to say the least!

If you did away with Dunbar's coaches and added their players to Henry Clay's team or Lexington Catholic's team then you'd have a match. Perhaps the Lexington Private Schools aren't as advanced as the Louisville Private Schools. I tell you what let's just set up concrete districts for everyone and play it out....

You would have a match maybe on paper, but what truly matters is who coaches the team.

With all do respect if Lafayette was combined with another city school then Trinty would want no part of that.

 

You truly think that would matter? I believe Lexington has at least one too many high schools. If one or two schools were disbursed to the other schools, Trinity would still have a much better overall team. How many of the Generals would start for Henry Clay? Same for PLD? Tates Creek and Bryan Station are so far down in football. I believe the youth leagues may need overhauled. Also, are the basketball players encouraged to play football in Fayette County?

I do know that Fayette co. has de-emphasized athletics for a few years now, at the middle school level. I have a friend whose wife is on the school board and I know she is going to try to get this reversed.
