DMZ76, I think you'll be very surprised or shock on the number of current Sophomores that step it up. So far in the young off-season they've been represented very well in the weight room.

I agree with you. I think a bunch of them will step it up. Having said that, they better. Those that crack the starting lineup or play a lot are going to have a real welcoming to varsity football getting to play Ryle in the opener and then Colerain. Talk about baptism by fire. They better be in the weight room a lot this winter!

Really impressed with Jake Turner, Hogue, Buten, and Big # 73. Agreed they all know what it takes, now everyone get in the weight room and Get-r-done!!

Maybe we could see young Roller at TE? Michael Laber moving to OG?...Center? I think Spring ball is going to be veeeeeery interesting!!

I think you should include Bardgett in with this group. Since Klink missed most of the season, Bardgett stepped in at guard and played very well. They'll definately be some competition, especially with Labor moving to the O-line.

HHS "Jake of all trades": Jake Turner...QB-WR-LB-DB-whatever...along with the dynamic duo of Oliver Head & Clint Crawford at RB's would all be starters and major NKY players if at another school. Great JV season guys...now let's get ya' a ring!![/QUOTE]

 

Correction, lets get you another ring. These kids played excellent roles this season on special teams/defense and offense.

 

I think all three will be top players in NKY next season. Oliver Head made a fantastice open field tackle in the State finals on that very quick running back. That was textbook. Crawford will be a great compliment to Conner next season in the backfield. He will be the Dee Dee Dorsey of Highlands.

Turner is a fine athlete who will play a major role on defense and possibly as backup QB in case of injury.

During the "great QB debate" when next year's Birds were freddies, I thought Jake Turner led the team more successfully and confidently then TG. Though TG got more varsity snaps...he really didn't get much field time this year. Don't count out Jake Turner...if Dale gives him a legitimate shot! Young Bardo just may surpass them both! Dale's got some real questions for next year...but all the options are pretty good!

I look for TG to be one of the best QB's in the state, and shatter a bunch of records. Look for alot of D1 schools to be watching him.

I don't think TG will be breaking any records....come on. I think the Bardo kid could be really good if given half a chance..He throws the best ball out of all three of the kids...I guess we'll have to see you never know what Dale will do...
