October 29, 200718 yr Do you believe Mike Brown is responsible for bringing in the talent through the draft that is not now helping the Bengals? Is Mike Brown responsible for the coaching strategy goof-ups and poor handling of the clock? Is Mike Brown responsible for the defensive not improving over the past 4-5 seasons but actually getting worse under the "defensive guru" watch? Is Mike Brown responsible for the poor character issues that have not been addressed by the head coach? I do believe that Mike Brown is responsible for an undeveloped scouting department but the team and their play falls to Marvin. Does it not? Hold on a minute, if you think that half of this junk would happen in the elite franchises, I can't agree. Who owns this team? Do you think for one second that Dan Rooney would sit still for this? Do you think that this would happen in NE or Indy or Denver? Marv would be gone, the ship would be cleaned and I'd start over if it were me. However, Mr. Brown is worried about he bottom line, is his organization profitable? Wins and losses sometimes don't matter. I'd make a serious statement to the fans of Cincy that the bull is gonna stop with the players, the head coach (brand new one) is ultimately responsible for decisions on the field and will be addressed accordingly. Is that not what you pay him for? As for personnel decisions, I don't know who is responsible for them, but I'd make some changes there as well.

Mike Brown wont pay for a gm or scouts, so yes he is responsible.
October 29, 200718 yr Author Mike Brown wont pay for a gm or scouts, so yes he is responsible. But he isnt going anywhere anytime soon. Why would he? 65K suckers come out every week and spend tons of money in concessions. The corporate suites are sold... its a done deal. He is making money and smoke and mirrored all of us.
October 29, 200718 yr Mike Brown as owner/GM is officially 84-163! That's gittin'er done! Wow..thats bad...:creepy::cry:
October 29, 200718 yr Marvin...then players. Just heard on Lance that after the game yesterday Marvin Lewis said next time he should go for it on 4th and 1. But still, during the presser today Lewis stated that he'd continue to kick a field goal in that situation because he didn't think they would be able to take it down and score. Question, why is it that everyone that has seen even a quarter of the Bengals play does not have faith in their defense except for the guy that's seen them more than anyone?
October 29, 200718 yr Mike Brown as owner/GM is officially 84-163! That's gittin'er done! Wowsers! His dad was 182-179. That's not bad for a new franchise.
October 29, 200718 yr I wont put the blame on Marvin, but Ill will put it on Bratkowski. He is the only constant that has remained since the latter end of 'the bad years.' It's his decision to put the field goal unit out when they should have gone for it on that particular 4th down...and sure Marvin could have disagreed, but the last thing a team needs IMO is coaches contradicting eachother. I say fire Bob and bring in a new offensive coordinator, but thats just me. The defense has always been suspect, but the offense has always kept them in it. Once the offense starts sputtering..its a terrible terrible game to witness.
October 29, 200718 yr Mike Brown as owner/GM is officially 84-163! That's gittin'er done! :thumb::thumb: The Bengals front office and organization is pathetic. Plain and simple - imo untill there are changes from the very top all the way down the results will be the same. Now............Having said that I have come to the conclusion that it is Tubby Smith's Fault!! :sssh::scared:
October 29, 200718 yr Halftime of the Steelers playoff game when Johnson went after Lewis. That was when this team was lost. The Carson Palmer window is closing and now the Bengals must clean house and rebuild. Unless the Bengals really break out the wallet they are at least 3 drafts away on defense.
October 29, 200718 yr What happened to "In Marvin We Trust" ? Apparently many think that currency was counterfeit. Can't let the inmates (literally) run the asylum and expect to keep this town behind you.
