October 29, 200718 yr Throw out the injuries because we all know how good the Bengals could be if nobody was hurt or some key players were not hurt. Who is to blame for this dismal season and when did the downfall begin? I say it started during the Pittsburgh Playoff game in 2005 at halftime. I think that is where Marvin Lewis lost his team. I put the blame on coaching mainly and only because they are responsible for not only calling the plays and putting the personnel on the field but they are also in charge of taking on "bad apples" and not addressing these guys. What do you think?

October 29, 200718 yr Marvin Lewis!! The team has been molded around what he wanted. These are his players and they havent performed well. The defense has been terrible all year and the offense hasn't performed well either. imo, the Palmer, TJ, Chad and Rudi are comparable to Brady, Moss, Welker and Maroney everywhere except on the field. Marvin Lewis needs to go. Once you lose your team, it is almost impossible to regain it!!
October 29, 200718 yr That said, I am hearing all the time on the radio that Marvin with his 4 years ?? left on his contract is going nowhere. Mike Brown is not going to pay him for 4 seasons without coaching. Seems we coudl have 2-3 more years of Lewsing.

October 29, 200718 yr Mike Brown. Do you believe Mike Brown is responsible for bringing in the talent through the draft that is not now helping the Bengals? Is Mike Brown responsible for the coaching strategy goof-ups and poor handling of the clock? Is Mike Brown responsible for the defensive not improving over the past 4-5 seasons but actually getting worse under the "defensive guru" watch? Is Mike Brown responsible for the poor character issues that have not been addressed by the head coach? I do believe that Mike Brown is responsible for an undeveloped scouting department but the team and their play falls to Marvin. Does it not?
