His crime was not stealing the signals but simply videotaping it. Having a guy standing up there trying to figure out what they are doing, I believe, is pretty common practice. Videotaping it is not.

 

As a basketball coach, I listen for what play the coach calls and diagram the play as they run it. WHen we prepare for that team, my players will know the play and what they are going to try and do.

Watching the game yesterday, I knew that the boo-whoo-ers would be out in full force after they went for it on 4th down, and the whiners would have a field day with Brady in the game up 42-0. It would be completely exceptable, however, if it were their team and not a team that everyone loves to hate. As a NE fan (and T. Brady's biggest fan ), I cringe with him in the game late, only because I would be completely devastated if he were to get hurt. However, the Skins couldn't really stop them with Cassel in the game either, so.....

These are professional athletes that are paid huge money to play a game...forgive me if I don't feel sorry for them when Tom Brady converts a 4th and 1 and then follows it with a TD pass to put his team up 45-0 with 9 minutes to play. The Patriots are on a mission to place themselves right in the middle of the "greatest team ever" discussion...that means not just beating, but destroying opponents.

 

Whether they talk about it or not, I think this team fully intends to run the table this year. I also think they want to win by huge margins every week...maybe they're shooting for the largest ever margin of victory. Unless Indy beats them this week, there's no one else even in the running on their schedule unless they just pull the starters at season's end or lay an egg.

 

The Patriots aren't my favorite team, but I do like them. However, I wouldn't care who it was...you won't hear me crying about an NFL team running the score up.

I don't care for the Pats or the Redskins, that said, when we are talking about professional athletes, it is no holds barred, IMO.

If they keep running that fake spike then opposing teams will no longer hold back on that play. It's custom for the defense to not dive through the line and try to hit the QB when they know he's going to spike it, but if they keep faking the spike you might see a linebacker dive through or over the line and nail Brady.

Wanting, ACTUALLY WANTING a player to get injured. RTS I used to have a whole lot more respect for you. Videotaping signals is one thing, actually wanting and hoping someone gets injured is another story.

For crying out loud people it is a game, a sport and in the grand scheme of things in life a professional sport really isn't that important. Outside of the economic impact and that is safe and sound.

Umm, where did I say I wanted him to get hurt. I said I wanted him to get nailed really good. No where did I say anything about injured. However, IF he was to get injured, I wouldn't feel all that sorry for him, he's bringing that on himself with his selfishness . But again, I didn't say I wanted him injured. If you played the game, you know the difference.
