Doesn't make it right, stealing signals is cheating, bush league and just plain low. He's a chump.

And spies is the proper term in what he was doing.

Are you hiding under a rock? Do you REALLY think that Bellichick is the ONLY one in the NFL that was doing this? If you believe this then I should probably tell you that Webster's is looking for models in the "G" section.

What I'd really like to see Bellichick do is drop 42 in the first half on someone and then come out and punt the ball on 1st down to open up the 2nd half. Or maybe they could just take a knee or a safety? I mean seriously, he is routinely playing 3 QBs, 4 RBs, etc. This isn't HS, his team is working to improve itself each week and playing 2 quarters won't get that done.

I personally love the fact that the Hoodie is out for blood. I get the impression every time I watch the Pats play that he is saying, "I'll show you exactly how much I, as a coach, need to cheat." I think he is upset because this is a fairly common practice in the NFL and he feels like he is being made an example of. Have you noticed the lack of other coaches in the NFL coming on the record about the "cheating incident"? I wonder why?

Regarding the lack of "class". People hate the Pats like they hate the Yankees. They hate Bellichick because he is a good coach and won't hesitate to tell you that he is a good coach. Look at the number of distinguished "class" veterans that have come to play for him over the last 5 years. The players love him because he'll come down on Brady just as hard as the 3rd team fullback. There are no favorites, no coddling, unlike some OTHER places.

He keeps doing this, there is someone on the defensive side of the ball that is stupid enough to cheapshot Brady, take his knees out and be gone for the season.

I don't doubt that someone may attempt it, but Brady could read the entire Harry Potter series in that pocket without disturbance.

Maybe he ought to do that just to pour some lemon juice in open wounds. I say wait until the SuperBowl though. Got to save the big celebration for the biggest stage of all.

A cheap shot doesn't have to come during the play. Team is getting beat 38 to nothing and he goes for it on 4th down for a TD after this being a consistent thing all season. Add in a little roid rage.

We have the concoctions of a Brady disaster after the pass is thrown.

The implication of saying that this particular Super Bowl, should the Patriots win it, would be tainted brings to light another question. What of the other three that they have won? Since they were just recently caught cheating who is to say that their others weren’t won in that fashion? I daresay that this one should be free of the taint and the other three tainted if we are going by that logic. Here is why. We have no way of knowing for sure that they cheated to win those 3 Super Bowls, however we know for a fact that they would not be cheating to win this one. Since no team in the NFL is stupid enough to keep their defensive signals the same after the Patriots were caught filming them, that edge in and of itself is eliminated. As such the Patriots would be winning on talent, skill and coaching this season. From here on out we know they aren’t cheating, prior to this season is a different story. If anything should be tainted it should be those seasons, at least from my perspective.

Had the NFL decided to ban them from post season play I would have supported it. Since they have decided to not punish them in that fashion I will support that too. I don’t rate the NFL highly enough in my list of things that are important in my life to where I really get that angry or upset about any of it. I get more into Trinity football than I ever will Bengals football. I am a Trinity alum; I have no connection to the Bengals outside of the fact that I was a fan of them as a child. Prop 20 gets me more fiery than this whole Patriots thing. In fact I find your anger on this whole matter quite amusing.

That said, we may need to bring out the deceased equine for further abuse.

I find it even more amusing that you actually think I'm mad about any of this.

This is a discussion board, is it not? I thought that's what I was doing, discussing my dislike for Brady and a team that was caught cheating. If it makes you feel better to turn it into something else, go for it. Your opinion of me is no more important than my opinion of Brady, so knock yourself out.

As for the tainted comments, they weren't caught cheating before the other three, so no, I don't agree.

C'mon mom, all the kids are doing it.

This is such a tired excuse to look past cheating.

Very good point, and yes it could happen. Tick off the wrong guy and who knows what he might do, you just never know.

(Note to PepRock01, this does not mean I want to see him injured) ;)

How generous and benevolent...

It's also lame to hear people complaining about the score being run up in a professional game...this isn't college football where I-AA schools go into the Big House (OK, bad analogy:lol:), but you get my point...or high school when elite teams are forced to play struggling programs in their district...these are professional athletes, most of whom are paid more in a year than I'll make in my life. Give me a break...show some pride and stop somebody...if you can't, then just man up, face the facts and live with it.

It's pathetic to hear a grown man who plays for the Redskins, getting paid half a million at minimum crying about a team throwing a TD pass with 9 minutes to go to put his team down 45-0...

...you hear that Randall Godfrey. It's the world's smallest violin playing "Just For The Redskins." Go home and cry to your mama, because I sure don't want to hear it. One word: P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C

A simple concept is reading the posts. :D

The post I responded to said stealing the other teams signs is cheating. NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING about videotaping.

I was pointing out that stealing signs IS NOT cheating but a common practice at almost every level.

I think I even agreed in my post that videotaping is cheating.:thumb:

See post #116.

In professional sports, if you feel/assume another team, is pounding you....Take care of it on the field. Why I'm no Belichick fan and understand the discussion, the Redskins didn't stop them on either 4th down.

If you don't like what the other team is doing, take care of it on the field.

Nope, he's the only one who has been proven to who have done it. Big difference. I make it a practice of mine not to convict until proven guilty.

I'm still trying to figure out the "models in the G section thingy".

Sorry I'm a little dense. I don't get out from under my rock enough.
