UGA Coach Mark Richt showed an enoumous amount of class just now at the end of the UGA/Vandy game in Nashville. UGA won on a last second FG, some of their players started "dancing on the Star" (Vandy's emblem) at the middle of the field. Richt ran out to mid field, physiacally pulled his players off - ripping their butt the whole way off the field. When ask by the ESPN reporter about it shortly afterwards Richt stated... "that is not what we are about here, not at all. We did that once in 2002 and I thought that I had made it plain then. We do not do that at UGA, are not about that and I sincerly apologize to Vandy for it."

 

That may not have been exact but it was very, very close. I would hate to be those players this coming week.

 

:thumb::thumb::thumb: Kudos to Coach Richt, it is class like this that shows what he is made of and why imo he is one of the top coaches in the country.

Thats impressive and I'm glad of it. Why would the Bulldogs celebrate like that in a game they "should" have won easily?

After I saw him do that to his team, he has become one of my favorite coaches. He showed a tremendous amount of class by doing this.

Good coach, good win, I really didn't thing Georgia had it in them but guess I was wrong, I have been before and I will be again, but class act by Richt!

I've always felt he was a first class person as well as coach.

Awesome....and I do like Richt...he is doing the right things in Athens.
