Bobby Petrino . . . . hunch...

Featured Replies

I talked to a source in Atlanta today that told me Blank is exploring his options on selling the team...

Arthur Blank is a self-made, hardworking guy probably having a difficult time dealing with primadonna professional athletes.

I am sure the Michael Vick situation has had a significant negative impact on him.

Yeah $19.9 million. Again, like Chad, I have heard a mild rumbling that he is done with the Falcons......if that takes place, it is likely Bobby's best buddy/GM is gone....and Bobby will be manning the nearest Top 5 sideline...

Who? :D

If LSU had any sense they'd have hired Petrino when Saban left...as it is, they're stuck with Les Miles.

Oops....:jump:

they're stuck with Les Miles.

For about 12 more weeks...

Michigan?

You gotta be kidding...if I were going to get rid of Lloyd, I'd at least upgrade.

I am not a Petrino fan. However, I respect what he did at UL, and to be honest, I think he has had a mess in Atlanta (not of his making) and I believe he has done a pretty good job so far. Whether he will stay long term or not, I don't know, but I do think that he will do a good job for the Falcons should he choose to stay.

But if LSU or Notre Dame came knocking, ... it may be hard to turn down.

Will not move his family that soon. With what went down with his QB he will get extra time...and finally he wants to coach in the NFL. Thats why he is there in the first place.

Each week the team is playing better and the owner likes Bobby.

Also Bobby's brother is also there with a family.

He will not be fired anytime soon.

^ My inclination is that if he were to leave in the next year or two, it would be on his own. As a football family you have to be prepared to move at anytime....and they have already moved 3-4 times in the last decade, one more wouldn't really matter.

I agree. Good points made.

Rock, I somewhat see what you are saying, BUT... hate that word....He is not going anywhere soon. Not counting this last move I believe he was at Louisville for a kid to finish high school, and with two more there I don't see it until the girl finishes.

He was gone before Nick graduated...Nick stayed and lived with his older sister in St. Mattews....Bobby Jr would graduate next year...then we have the last

Not the same, Nick got to finish with his family here. But hey, enjoy rapping with you. Good luck Saturday we are pullin for y'all.

I think he is a college coach, and a great one at that. Very seldom through time do you see a coach successful at both.

I expect him back in a couple of seasons at a big boy university. I have said it would be funny if he does the reverse Rick Pitino and comes to UK after Brooks is done

But that wouldn't be at a big boy university.:sssh:
