You know, I think one of the coolest things I ever did was take the Beatles mystery tour while in Liverpool. Got to see all 4 of their childhood homes, get my picture in front of Penny Lane, had a beer at the tavern in which the Beatles first met up. Not really sure how that relates to the purpose of the thread, but thought I would interject that bugatti trivia.

For the record, I am going with Lennon.

If anyone votes for Ringo.....

I see what you mean, and agree.

Ringo couldn't write music. He has said so himself. He said in one of their books that he tried to write, but it just didn't work for him. So, he had to sing other's material. And he was a below average singer.

I'm hung up between Paul and John. I liked some of George's stuff, but imo he's not in their league. Ringo is not in the hunt at all.

I guess I will have to lean toward Paul by a narrow margin. "Yeserday" and "Hey Jude" are two of the most played and copied tunes ever written.

I just re-read the thread title. My mistake.:creepy:

You're asking about solo career. I'll still have to go with Paul on that one.

Ringo's "Photograph" is a great song, John and George had some good ones after the breakup, John with "No. 9 Dream and Mind Games etc; George with several BUT Paul was the best solo even if you stop at Lennon's death. Lennon was coming on strong but Paul, if you count Wings as solo, had some great songs. My personal favorite: "With A Little Luck". Paul was my last concert which I went to. Terrific.
