Compound fracture wow... it doesn't get much worse then that... poor guy.. hope he gets healthy real soon. That's gonna be a real tough one to come back from but it's the last thing that matters at this point.

BF, sorry for Garrets injury. Looks like he is doing great and I'm sorry, I know right now he may not want to play football, but he LOOKS like a football player. Give him time and like Strike3 said a football.

 

Our youngest had a sever leg break at a young age. Snapped the femur. Two weeks in traction in the hospital and then 7 weeks in a full body cast. When they are young and the pain goes away it is amazing how soon they forget about it and move on. Just let him know that when the bone heals, it will most likely heal stronger in the area of the break.

OH, you don't have to stop with the home movies...I love them. Yes, I do see the orb, or whatever that thing is! I love how Rudy is protecting the little guy. It reminds me of Daisy (RIP) when PH got his legs amputated. Dogs are amazing!!!!

 

Tell him that this will not last forever and he will be back to himself in no time flat. I really hope that he does not itch in his cast like I did mine...My doc told me to take Benadryl when I itched really bad...it seemed to work for me, if nothing else, put me to sleep where I did not care. LOL LOL

I think we may be turning a corner in that respect. With his friends playing, dad coaching, and little sister cheerleading, I think it will be tough for him to stay away. And after he made the comment I posted above ("The doctor said I can't play for two months!"), football might be back into the realm of possibility. But that's way down a long and bumpy road.

Hope all is well with the little fella their Birdsfan. I hope he's back into sports in no time flat. Tell him were praying for him.

His sister now is "borrowing" his wheelchair and refuses to walk anywhere without using his crutches. Her mom asked her to go get something upstairs. She said, "How can I?" :cry: Her mom said, scoot on your butt if you have to!" :lol:

Speaking from someone that has to use a wheelchair a lot - I am sure that she is glad that she doesn't have to be in one to get around all the time. :thumb:
