Nick Saban comments on how the Big East can take non-qualifiers and SEC schools can't. Didn't go over too well at USF

Louisville successfully built their program several years back before they joined the Big East Conference by recruiting kids from Florida and Alabama who could not qualify at SEC or ACC schools.

I think the SEC can take two per year unless that has been amended.

Get the boxing gloves ready. :fight::fight::fight:

The Big East does not allow non qualifiers...

Then how do you explain this?

Leavitt fired back Tuesday that of his 110 players, two are non-qualifiers and only one is a starter.

Have to be carry overs from CUSA...

I would guess the Big East has similar rules as those in the SEC and I am under the impression that the SEC can take two non-qualifiers each year.

That's the way I read it. Why would Saban say something like that without knowing his facts? Is he looking for a home and home? :D

Lets assume he's 100% correct. Why even say it? You a)make yourself look like a whiny fool trying to make excuses and b)you are denegrading not only another institution but the players involved.

He's a leader? Hardly.

^ I think the opinion of him being a leader went out the window with his cowardly acts, time and time again.

Saban is one of those coaches that always is rubbing someone the wrong way. Imo is much about nothing. Saban shouldn't have said it but does it really matter? I really like Bama and I like to watch Levitt's team play at USF as well. I just think that there is too big of a deal being made over his (Saban's) comments. I agree that he shouldn't have said what he did but eveyone slamming him and calling him "trash" is just ridiculous. JMO

Not a lot of people like Saban and have always been that way, when he was at LSU the only ones that liked him were LSU fans. Now the only ones that like him are Bama fans.

Just a lot over nothing imo.

Just like Petrino and his statements that he was remaining at U.L. "this is my home" LOL, and his "midnight ride" to Auburn a couple of years before???? and his word being good?:sssh: (sorry, j/k, couldn't resist :p)

You can't say its nothing when a face of the school takes a shot at the entire institution and , without naming names, insinuates that "their kids" aren't very bright. Classless .

Who said they weren't bright...they are what they are. They didn't qualify.
