My heart says the Cats but I am afraid that the special teams may be the difference and imo S.C. has a big advantage there. Hope that I am wrong abut I am going with my head on this one. Also, this will be By Far the best coached team that U.K. has played to date, there is the Ol' Ball Coach standing on the Gamecock sidelines. JMO

I dont see why people are predicting USC to score a ton of points. I know UK's defense isnt the greatest but neither is USC's offense. They are very good defensively but they dont impress me on O.

Falling behind 10-0 at Arkansas with that crazy crowd did not rattle the Cats and it won't bother them at SC. Woodson is as cool as they come and the Cats just go about their business as usual - scoring lots of points.

I really don't see them scoring a whole bunch on this defense.

I think they will get at least 31 which is low for this UK team but still a lot of points. I think UK will find a good balance because you can run on this USC team which ranks 100th against the run. If UK can keep them honest by running then Woodson will burn them with play action. The key will be getting rid of the ball quick early and rolling the pocket, run some screens to Little because they have a good pass rush. Just my take on it!

Lets hope the Cats come back to Kentucky with a big W...... Ill take a 1 point victory. Actually, any W will have me laughing all the way to the bank.........

I am really surprised at the lack of belief in this team, at least by the UK fans. If this UK team can't win this game at this time, then I suppose they will never win in Columbia as long as SS is there. This team has done so many positive things over the last 11 games that I can't see us not performing to the level necessary to win. Unless turnovers really go against us I think the 'Cats win by a score in the vicinity of 35-24.

Article from the newspaper (The State) in Columbia. I did not know that South Carolina had the nation's #1 pass defense; I knew they were good, but not that good. However, as they quickly say, they haven't played a great passing them to this point.

Is that the same Ron Cooper that led UL back in the 90's? Yikes. ;)

I've really expected a loss in this game up until this week...for some reason, I have a feeling UK is going to win this game. I was almost afraid to say it...jinx...so they'll probably lose, since I think they'll win.

UK - 34

USC - 32

My thoughts also. But I'm predicting the score to be

UK 31

USC 28

Cats pull it out in the 4th Qtr again.

It's gonna get tougher for the Wildcats they've got South Carolina Thursday, and later they have to play LSU and then Florida, pretty tough games coming up.

I don't know how much this will factor into the game, but the weather forecast for Columbia, South Carolina for tomorrow is not looking so good. Temperatures hovering in the upper 70's with a heavy chance of rain and thunder storms. Does this help or hurt either team? Obviously both teams will be forced to deal with it, but I don't really see this as a clear advantage/disadvantage for either team.

This is going to be a stereotypical hard fought SEC East battle. The Ol' Ball Coach will not have his usual amount of time to scheme and dissect this UK defense. And this I believe will benefit the Wildcats. I think we will see more and more solid play from a constantly improving defense, and also another stellar efficient performance from the UK offense. Woodson will continue to help his stock rise, and people around the nation will realize that this is not just a one man team.

OK so once again UK fans still pick the other team, this is starting to crack me up. Have some faith in this team already. They get it done every week and have succeeded any expectations that anyone had for them this year. UK will end another bad streak and beat Spurrier for the first time ever. Woodson isn't a time bomb QB so INT's aren't that big of a thing to be concerned with. UK will win if their defense has a pretty good game. Offense has been consistent in every game thus far and will continue to do so. Just wait and see guys! :thumb:

You obviously haven't been around UK football very long my friend. That being said, UK simply won't be able to score at will like they have been. Spurrier will get an early lead and look to run it down the Cats throat and put them out of the game early. With the rainy weather coming into play and a lack of protection from his offensive line Woodson throws 3 INT's and the defense is ran wild upon by the Boyd/Davis duo. Hope this is all wrong, but I just got a bad feeling about a rainy night on the road in the SEC for the Cats.

About the bolded section: Obviously you haven't been around UK lately :D

Seriously though, I agree Spurrier will pound away at our defense. He wants to keep the UK offense off the field.
