September 24, 200718 yr No contest! I don't, nearly as emphatically as you do, so that'll be an interesting story-line to keep an eye on. :thumb:
September 24, 200718 yr I'm not downplaying South Carolina at all, especially on their field. I just think that UK is at least as good this season. We have a good team. I think LSU is a stretch, but Florida is beatable ( just ask Ole Miss and Benjarvus Green-Ellis) :thumb: I think South Carolina and Florida are winnable, but they'll be extremely tough. LSU is tougher...we'd need a great performance and less than their best showing from LSU, but it's not impossible. I'll stick with it...if we can go 1-2 in that stretch (after beating FAU) and go into the MSU game at 6-2, I'll be one happy Cat fan. Any better than that and I wouldn't know what to do with myself... I'm in uncharted territory here...I'm pretty sure that UK has never been in the top 15 in football in my lifetime. I like it.

September 24, 200718 yr Alot of schools have some breakout years then fall back. Can UK sustain this success or even close to it? What will the expectations for next year be? And the year after? Is Brooks dooming himself by having a really good year? UK fans notoriously have unrealistic expectations for the basketball team, will that carry over to football or does the lack of success for soo many years give them more leeway? All I know is that UK fans are due a college football season to be proud of and I think this is the year it can happen. As far as sustaining this level of play for a long period of time...I sure hope so because I like football that much.
September 24, 200718 yr 6-6 or 7-5, ... 8-4 best case. As far as the kicking game, .. I have had no problem with Masthay punting. Sieber has just been inconsistent. Masthay has been kicking off GREAT, I bet he is one of the top kickoff kickers as far as touchback % in the country. He had a good game punting last game. Sieber will be fine Off topic but, I bet UL wish they has Masthay punting right now!
September 25, 200718 yr Lets focus on this year because its not half way over..... Amen to that!! The only concerns right now are getting evrybody healthy and Florida Atlantic.
September 25, 200718 yr Are you under 30? If so, than you're right. :sssh: Of course I am...I missed the great '77 team by one year.
September 25, 200718 yr You think Pulley will be the starting QB next year? Curtis Pulley absolutely SHOULD NOT be the QB...

September 25, 200718 yr To bad UK couldn't have had that schedule for this year, because UK really could have made it through the season with only 1 regular season loss... They could this year too...:sssh:
September 25, 200718 yr Their o-line and d-line will be better. Their defense will be better. WR is my worry. It will be a three way race for QB between Pulley, Hartline, and Lentz. I do not think QB will be an issue. UK has been building toward this for a while.
September 25, 200718 yr Curtis Pulley absolutely SHOULD NOT be the QB... Joker would have to change his offensive approach the past 2+ seasons if Pulley were the guy. I think he can run his same system with Hartline or Fidler. I think it will be Hartline with a very solid O line and backs to take the pressure off of his shoulders to not have to carry the team when he first assumes the position. They do need some good young WR's with who they lose after this season. Why couldn't we have Stevie for just one more season! He has really been a great threat with Burton and Lyons getting most of the attention from defenses.
