September 30, 200718 yr Author I'm happy to report that RebelK's mom is well on her way to recovering from here recent crisis. She is talking (sometimes, a lot) and seems to be completely lucid now. Her white blood count is a little elevated again, but they're looking into that. She also has some discomfort that they think may be from the dialysis. You all have lifted RebelK's spirits so much with your thoughts and prayers. I hope she'll forgive me for passing along this story she told me today. She said that her mom told her today that, while she was at her worst, a preacher had come into her room and prayed with her, prayed over her, and told her that she would be okay. She insists that she wasn't dreaming. There's no evidence of a preacher having visited her mom. Who says prayer doesn't work wonders?

October 1, 200718 yr Author I have very sad news to report today. RebelK's mom has taken a sharp turn for the worse in the last couple days. The infection has taken over and is damaging her organ systems. Last night she suffered a massive, irreversible heart attack. She is being kept sedated today and the doctor's say there is nothing more to be done. Tonight, the family will gather to make the final decision on resuscitation orders. Please continue to pray for RebelK and her family, as they enter the next phase of her mom's journey.
October 1, 200718 yr RebelK, I am leaving for China for 3 weeks tomorrow morning early. God Bless is all I can say. Prayers are still here..
