Bengals sign LB Dhani Jones

 

CINCINNATI (AP) -- The Bengals signed free agent linebacker Dhani Jones to a one-year contract Wednesday, a day after waiving linebacker Andre Frazier.

 

Jones played four seasons with the New York Giants and three with Philadelphia, starting 13 games last season.

If he could play like he once did, this would be great...but you have to wonder about a guy on his third team in six months (if 98 is right).

 

In any case, I'm not sure anyone could hurt the Bengals defense.

He was solid early on during his career, hopefully he can bring "something" to this defense. Heard he's good on ST's, that sure would be a help.

Jones was released to free agency by the Eagles on April 30 of this year, and signed July 10 with New Orleans. He played in all five Saints preseason games, with two starts, and was released Aug. 31.
