Ha thanks for finding all those quotes...I really loved the ones saying this would be one of UL's best defenses ever. That UK's offense cant keep up scoring wise on UL's offense. That UK wouldn't be able to run the ball on UL defense. That UK defense wont be able to stop UL offense as much as UL defense could stop UK...I really liked the ones that say UK fans are pretty much crazy if we thought that UK would win this game...

 

The way I see things now is, and I cant believe I am going to say this but UK has a better defense than UL. UK has a better running game than UL. And the passing game is pretty much even. UL would have the edge on special teams though...

 

Question do UL fans think UL would still do better in the SEC than UK can do?

If UK had beaten UofL in week 1 it would have been bigger for the program. Better exposure, no talk about how terrible UofL's defense was going into the game, much higher expectations for UofL, and less pressure on UK = valid.

I don't give a crap about UC and I know they won...Everybody in the country who has a TV and/or follows college football in the least knows about the huge win, if they give a crap about UK or not...

UK coaches and radio guys were making fun of the notion that it was not as big in week 3...I can promise you the game won't be moved back to week 1 for the years the game is in Lexington...and the argument that UK is scared of UL so that's why the game was moved should be put to rest.

They (coaching staff) don't think so...I'm going to have to go with them on this one...we just have to disagree and move on...

It is a great win for UK over a great program. And honestly it does make it a little sweeter, because so many UL fans and people who were not UK fans did not give UK a chance at all of winning. Everyone has made mistakes on predictions and it happens all the time, but the fact is UK has solidified itself as a top notch team this year by beating UL who has been a solidified top notch team for a while now.

The big difference is that the UofL fans talked ALL SORTS of smack before the game. All the "UK has no chance" "UofL big" and all that junk.

 

The UK fans pretty much all said it would be a good game that could go either way.

 

If the Card fans had been saying that, UK fans wouldn't have so much ammo to throw back in their face.

BIG Difference. Smith won a NCAA championship. Kragthorp has allow an undiciplined team to hit the feild three games in a row. You can't convince me that we lose that game with Petrino at the helm. Blown coverage on third and long... seriously lack of discipline lets that happen. Kragthorpe doesn't have the these (the same who were successful last season) playing at thier highest level.

 

UK not wiining the final four is one thing. Losing to UK in football is Much much more emabarrasing.

 

 

Which I why I found it laughable when Cardinal fans were touting "Coach K" as an upgrade over Petrino...you just can't lose a top 5 coach in college football (and Petrino was exactly that, IMO) and expect an improvement. Schools like Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, LSU, USC, etc...typically can't do it. It's absurd to think U of L would.

 

I'll stick by what I said when Petrino left...Kragthorpe is a downgrade and U of L won't be as good without Petrino. So far, I've seen nothing to change my opinion...

Since you guys don't like to be lumped in one big group, I'll ask that you don't do the same with us. I'll be the first to admit that last year I thought we could win big again, but as time grew closer, I knew it was going to be a competitive game. Not EVERY Cards fan thought it was going to be a blow-out, or that UK had no chance....:thumb:
