Full scale national attention not cut in to by other big time games on at the same time. Bigger attraction to recruits watching. There are numerous ways this would have been bigger in week 1...

If UK had beaten UofL in week 1 it would have been bigger for the program. Better exposure, no talk about how terrible UofL's defense was going into the game, much higher expectations for UofL, and less pressure on UK = valid.
