September 16, 200719 yr How big is Allen? He looks like a load on tv. I cant believe some of the balls Mario dropped tonight. Listed as 6'1" 225. Looks and runs bigger...
September 16, 200719 yr The Better team won tonight...the fans should not have stormed the field. WAY TO GO CATS!!! :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
September 16, 200719 yr The fact that a UK fan has admitted that even though Brian has owned UK during his career they will only selectively remember his ONE AND ONLY LOSS is what I was talking about. And yet Louisville fans are the ones called arrogant, unrealistic etc. Kentucky won tonight, congratulations. They still have a ways to go to prove that they can maintain that success. UK is no LSU (who I believe is #1 IMHO), but this was a HUGE win for UK. Brohm has owned UK the past 2 seasons (Lefors was the starter when Brohm was a frosh), no doubt. He is a phenomenal QB with all the tools and played a terrific game and deserves all the hype he gets. When he drove UL down the field to retake the lead, I thought my prediction of UL winning a close one would unfortunately come true (and yes I did pick UL to win the game). I was VERY pleased to be wrong. But from what Brooks took over and what he had to put up with from many UK fans on here who were unrealistic and did not seem to understand what the lack of Morris recruiting and the loss of schollys really meant, I am proud that I am one who has supported him for his entire tenure at UK, not just since he finally got them turned around. Before he came, even in a good year by UK standards, this would have been a game they lost (see LSU last second loss under Morris for starters), but these Cats made the plays they had to make to get it done and more than beat the 6.5 point spread, they won outright over a top 10 team for the first time in 30 years. Congrats to the defense who actually made some HUGE plays when they needed them and a big congrats to Brooks, Woodson, Burton, Tamme and all the Cats who made it happen. Great job guys!!
September 16, 200719 yr Of all the storylines tonight only one thing stoodout, Louisville's defense is AWFUL!!! UK played really well offensively and Woodson is a stud but good lord that was bad. Great game... BTW, neither Woodson nor Brohm lost any 'votes' in the Heisman race...where ever they were...
September 16, 200719 yr I guess this calls for a Woodson/Brohm thread in the Public/Private forum??? :jump:
September 16, 200719 yr YES! I am so happy we won! First off, congrats to the Cats. As big of a cats fan as I am I still feel bad for UL, because I would like an in state school to win it all. Last, to all UL fans, give us some time to shine. we won the game finally and we deserve to get the chance to brag about our team. GO CATS!!!! :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
September 16, 200719 yr UK nearly scored on the same route right before the half, but the throw to Johnson was off. UL's safeties bite on anything. Woodson looked right and the safety drifted middle and the CB relaxed and then Woodson came right back to Johnson. No reason for a team to give up a long TD like that at that game, time and score.
September 16, 200719 yr WOW GREAT GAME!!! Me and everyone else was gathering around the wall at the end of the game, and just saying please no LSU miracles again, and of coarse they catch the tip and we all just yell NO!!! I think my heart stopped when I saw that, but great play to make a tackle on that fast guy before he got started... WAY TO GO CATS!!!

You're right. It was the exact same play call, and the corner playing the deep third on that side was cheating into the middle.
September 16, 200719 yr One of the many things I loved about the game, was that there was a louisville fan in the UK student section saying stuff after UL took the lead. And there was a big chant saying check his ticket, and security did and made him leave....
September 16, 200719 yr Close game all the way around. U.K.'s rushing advantage was evened out by U.L.'s passing advantage. One "minor" Stat left out was U.K. 40 U.L. 34 :thumb: If UK would have just knocked down that last hail marry pass, then the passing would have been even closer...
September 16, 200719 yr Before too much trash talking gets going on here I just wanted to say how great it was to get to see this game this year. Yes it helps that the Cats won but man oh man was that a fun game or what. To the Louisville fans I just wanna say that I hope the rest of the season is very strong for ya'll because god knows I wanna see the Cards still win that Big East. Brohm looked good tonight when he really wanted to. That passing offense can just be unstoppable at points. Hats off to ya'll. As for Kentucky, wow, this might be the first game I've seen in a long time where we beat a team we weren't supposed to beat AND who wasn't experiencing a down year (Alabama). Note I didn't make it to the Georgia game last year. Man oh man, the defense had its holes but when called upon to play strong they made some nice plays and I was happy. Woodson didn't look great tonight but he made plays when needed and gave the team that leader out on the field. Rafael Little is a STUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, sorry UofL fans if this seems like gloating, Im just really hyped right now so OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
