September 16, 200719 yr Just got home...I am beat....Awesome game to be at. The atmosphere was UNREAL. Kentucky played a great game, Louisville played a terrible game, simple as that. The defense is ridiculous. I really don't even have words for it. The Cats finally got their big win against the Cards. Congrats UK fans. :thumb: I'll be pulling for you guys the rest of the way. Come on now, UL didn't play all that bad.
September 16, 200719 yr Well my avatar and location have been the same since joining. And lets just say I am one happy guy right now. C-A-T-S cats cats cats!
September 16, 200719 yr Listed as 6'1" 225. Looks and runs bigger... If he is 225 then Im 200. And I know that aint true.
September 16, 200719 yr Let's just say I was in the student section, and it was one of the most craziest experiences in my whole life. Everyone was going nuts! People were hugging me I didn't even know, and jumping in each other's arms. GO BLUE
September 16, 200719 yr Which is one reason I tend to dislike UK fans. For the record Woodson has now beaten Brian 1 time Brooks has now beaten Louisville once and lost 4 Kentucky has won a whopping 2 of the last 9 against Louisville Brooks should have lost this game. 3 Times he should have went for 2 instead of the extra point and a 5 point lead. What the heck was he thinking??????? This could have changed the whole complexion of the game. UK did play great, and I really hope that isn't the peak of the season because their are many big SEC games in the wait. But for those of you who say Brohm is out of the Heisman race, and Woodson in. Seriously, who is going to win the most games out of the two? I think we all know the answer to that.
September 16, 200718 yr Did not want to read six pages...too early....however, if someone posted this, I am so sorry for doing it again. Fact....It has been 30 years since the Cats have beaten a top 10 team. My husband's last year in high school football was 1976, so that was his first football season after high school!!! Anyway....GO CATS!!!!!
September 16, 200718 yr Unbelievable that they didn't go for two? Go Cats! We are going to another bowl this season, IMO. You got that right! I was screaming at the TV, like i did at Pitino in 92!
September 16, 200718 yr This game equals: - a bowl game for UK - the Cats in the top 25 - U of L out of the national title hunt - Brohm out of the Heisman race - Woodson in the Hesiman race - An actual rivalry in the Bluegrass state - Security for Rich Brooks, finally - Perhaps the biggest win in Brooks' tenure --a bowl game for UK-Not til they get 6 wins. Tuff schedule looms - the Cats in the top 25-Probally, but not in top 20 - U of L out of the national title hunt-Probally - Brohm out of the Heisman race- No, played great - Woodson in the Hesiman race- didn't hurt his chances - An actual rivalry in the Bluegrass state-Already was - Security for Rich Brooks, finally- Had it - Perhaps the biggest win in Brooks' tenure- no doubt:banana:
September 16, 200718 yr Come on now, UL didn't play all that bad. True. On offense they looked great.

Very gracious of you. I beg to differ on Louisville playing a terrible game. Both teams had poorly executed moments.
September 16, 200718 yr UK is no LSU (who I believe is #1 IMHO), but this was a HUGE win for UK. Brohm has owned UK the past 2 seasons (Lefors was the starter when Brohm was a frosh), no doubt. He is a phenomenal QB with all the tools and played a terrific game and deserves all the hype he gets. When he drove UL down the field to retake the lead, I thought my prediction of UL winning a close one would unfortunately come true (and yes I did pick UL to win the game). I was VERY pleased to be wrong. But from what Brooks took over and what he had to put up with from many UK fans on here who were unrealistic and did not seem to understand what the lack of Morris recruiting and the loss of schollys really meant, I am proud that I am one who has supported him for his entire tenure at UK, not just since he finally got them turned around. Before he came, even in a good year by UK standards, this would have been a game they lost (see LSU last second loss under Morris for starters), but these Cats made the plays they had to make to get it done and more than beat the 6.5 point spread, they won outright over a top 10 team for the first time in 30 years. Congrats to the defense who actually made some HUGE plays when they needed them and a big congrats to Brooks, Woodson, Burton, Tamme and all the Cats who made it happen. Great job guys!! I too supported coach Brooks the entire way. You had to give the man time for chrissakes!!!
September 16, 200718 yr You and me both....:madman: I thought you had said earlier in the week that you were going to your 1st UK game ever.
September 16, 200718 yr Brooks should have lost this game. 3 Times he should have went for 2 instead of the extra point and a 5 point lead. What the heck was he thinking??????? This could have changed the whole complexion of the game. I disagree here. The only time he should have went for two is after the last TD. You don't go chasing points, and if they had gone for two earlier, and miss, the Cats don't stay within field goal range after another UoL score.
