I disagree here. The only time he should have went for two is after the last TD. You don't go chasing points, and if they had gone for two earlier, and miss, the Cats don't stay within field goal range after another UoL score.

I'm looking forward to "A Round of Observations" from Nets!

If UK would have just knocked down that last hail marry pass, then the passing would have been even closer...

An INT would have been even better. But a win is a win! :thumb:

WHOOOOOAAAAAA C A T S CATS CATS CATS

For those saying UofL played bad: They played MUCH better than they did against Murray or MTSU.

If they played like they did against MTSU this game wouldn't have been close.

Congratulations to the Wildcats. Great, great effort, especially in the 2nd half when you could have folded up your tents after giving up a thirteen point lead.

Cards, you were outplayed and outcoached last night.

Shocked to see UK win this one, but U of L's D isn't that good at all so then it doesn't really surprise me at all. This is the year UK would have that chance to beat U of L and they did. Penalties hurt the Card's and so did those 2 turnover's. Brohm did all he could and so did Douglas, but it doesn't really matter when you defense can't stop anyone.

Hopefully Kentucky doesn't get the big head here and think beating Louisville will do many other things for them this year. They still have to play at Arkansas, at South Carolina, at Vanderbilt, and at Georgia. And the three big home games against Florida, LSU, and Tennessee. Kentucky is 3-0 now, but IMO they will end up around 6-6, MAYBE 7-5. Mississippi State will give them trouble and so will Vandy. I'm not trying to be negative or down Kentucky because this is a great win, but you have to remember even though U of L's offesne is among the best in the nation, look at where their defense ranks. Good to see UK at 3-0, but from here on out it's going to get tough, and I dont know if UK can put up 8 or 9 wins in the toughest confrence in the nation.

Offense played worse (granted, UK has the best D of anyone they played so far, but Urrutia dropped too many), and defense played better first half, but worse second half, which have been noticably different in the other games.

I haven't bothered reading the first 6 pages of this thread because I'm sure it's going to be a lot of Brohm vs. Woodson talk, which is still ridiculous, IMO. Brohm had Douglas, and that was pretty much it last night (Urrutiugh... ugh). Woodson's recievers were ON it. I'm not saying Woodson didn't look good last night, but if I was to make a team right now, no blue or red involved, I'd go with Brohm. I mean, this was one of his poorer games, and he still had mad yardage and made some surprising throws. Plus, and I hate to ever say this, but UK's defense was a lot better than UofL's. That "Vanilla Defense" is about as scary as sleeping puppy.

Bottom line, UofL got beat by UK in a year that they were toted as being National Champions. Best of luck to UK for the rest of the season (they still have a lot to prove against tougher teams... again, I hate to say it). My expecations for UofL have dropped considerably, but I'm not going to turn my back on them. No "fire Kragthorpe" just yet. GO CARDS! BEAT 'CUSE!!!

Kentucky played a great game, Louisville played a terrible game, simple as that.

I definitely disagree with this. The UL offense played well for the most part and the D just isn't very good IMO. These two teams are a lot closer talent wise than many people think.

Turnovers will kill you EVERY time....

What did everybody else think of the paraschuters (?) and the apache helicopter that made the fly over before the game. That was great.

If I can figure it out, I'll get you a copy. Only thing I'd ask for might be the money to cover shipping, other than that I wouldn't ask for anything else. I'll try, but I can't make any promises. You should try recording the next showing at 9AM tomorrow...

It's also being replayed, again on ESPN Classic, at 9AM next Sunday, 9/23. :thumb:

Every time. Penalties will too, as they both killed Louisville last night.
