Which makes getting our kids to believe they are the under dogs that much easier. Some of the boys on the team still think they should've won last night.

:thumb: Good luck the rest of the season! There is one and only one reason I wouldn't mind playing at Dixie, you have absolutely the best concessions around. I thought I was at TGIs when I was trying to decide what to eat, you have the best soft drinks and of course the funnel cakes are awesome.

Everybody has to strive to be the best at something. Our band members mom and dad's have truly found their calling.

Yes...But when you only get flagged once or twice in the entire game, it is hard to do that. I agree with you that Highlands EARNED most of their penenties. That is why I said earlier if they had been able to cut down on them I don't think that the game would have been anywhere near as close as it was.

 

I haven't hear anyone talk about the roughing the passer call against the Birds...was everyone else looking down field like me. Just wondering what happened.

 

 

I saw it on tape. It was a close call. Having watched it, I can't really say the call was too bad. Then again, if it hadn't been called, I don't think Dixie could have complained either.

They got paid sixty bucks to help a bunch of school children learn about the spirit of comptetition and sportsmanship. People from the class of '67 should have already learned those lessons by now.

I guess i will explain myself a little better next time about being paid and overpaid to do a game next time. I hope you didn't think i thought these guys did this for free!!!!!! What am i complaining about, we won the game. Like i said earlier in some other forum, If Clay Cecil starts the game and Highlands cuts half and i mean just half of their penalties this game would of been far worse. Highlands was way too much for Dixie!!!!!

...The best call of the night was when the ref didn't know the call. On the onsides kick, when the ball traveled 10 yards and then it rolled back to about 8 or 9 yards...

This is really why I made my earlier post. I wasn't there, but I can assure you that your observation is off base despite how many 'experts' in the stands might have collaborated the opinion.

 

I'll even explain the rules to you if you merely ask. Jumping to the conclusion that officials are biased or don't know the rules is what makes me bristle.
