Jumper Dad, those were too funny, yet so true.

Not good for ol' John. First the haircut now this. He did attempt to explain the apparent hypocrisy:

Edwards was asked during his appearance how he explained the contradiction of asking Americans to sacrifice while he's living in a 28,000-square-foot mansion.

He said he came from nothing, worked hard all his life, has always supported workers and fought big corporations as a lawyer.

"I have no apologies whatsoever for what I've done with my life," he said to loud cheers. "My entire life has been about the same cause, which is making sure wherever you come from, whatever your family is, whatever the color of your skin, you get a real chance to do something great in this country."

So, I guess what he really said was "give up your SUVs if you didn't come from "nothing" and as long as you fight for others.

I'm guessing if John continues in this race that we will hear about this quote once or 98 times.

Didn't he just call for mandatory health check ups for all Americans? Now he wants the govt to tell me that I have to go see a doctor. Next he'll be proposing that the govt can tell me that I can't smoke, I can't eat red meat, I can't eat french fries, etc., etc., all in the name of cutting health care costs. This guy, much more than Hillary or Obama, scares the bejeezus out of me.

Vote Fred Thompson!!!

Doesn't he have to officially run first. What has it been now, 3 months that he has been thinking about running? My mamaw had a saying that I will paraphrase. Poop or get off the pot.

Wow. That would be a horridly bad political move. I don't care where he lives, but few voters will accept being told that they MUST go to the doctor. Most men only see a doctor when they can't stand their affliction anymore.

Look for him to declare on Thursday of this week.

I agree. I thought he had one of the better health care plans among the Democrats until I saw this.

I think the last time I went to the doctor was for a physical for high school football.

Look for him to declare on Thursday of this week.

Wasn't he supposed to declare on July 4th? Then end of July. Now Thursday. He is getting to the point, I will believe it when I see it and has lost some credibility with this draggin it out.

Now if he can just get the NEA and ACLU endorsements.......

Well, I guess everyone isn't convinced he's as bad as some of you paint him to be.

Edwards picks up 2 major union endorsements

I think he and Mitt are going to be the two party nominees. But I disagree with you here, picking up a union endorsement means he's probably been complaining about outsourcing the most.

It is scary to think that our country is now in a state where someone like this can even be considered as an option to be president.

^ you think this is bad.... what about some of the other candidates....

Well, first, y'all got it wrong. I'm the only one who's a strong proponent for Edwards on this board.

Not the only one... well, I guess it depends on what you mean by "strong", but Rockmom, you KNOW I'm right behind you in political matters.

Though I don't care much for the hypocrisy myself, it's not like he's half as bad as many others.
