I bet he had the skills to make it at another position... :jump: Good for you. Where'd he go to school? What position did he play? He probably could have played something like TE.

August 28, 200719 yr I agree. But at 6'3" 212 now, he was no Vince Young at WVU. He wasn't even Andre Woodson back then.. I had no idea where Marc Bulger was from...I would have never guessed West Virginia.
August 28, 200719 yr I think Woodson is a tad bit overrated, and I'm pretty much a UK homer. He needs to do more against the top tier teams in the SEC IMO. That being said, I don't think he's close to being as overrated as Tim Couch.

That being said, I don't think he's close to being as overrated as Tim Couch. I think he still has to prove that last year is the real Andre Woodson. I think he will though...it's possible his stats may dip with UK playing a tougher schedule, but I expect that him to solidify his status as a big time NFL prospect. I like his size, athleticism, poise in the pocket, accuracy and the way he throws the ball...he's got some things to work on, but I think he's the type of guy that NFL teams drool over. His biggest fault to me is that he sometimes stands in the pocket and holds on to the ball too long. But, from an NFL perspective, I'd rather have a guy that does that rather than one who gets happy feet and gets scared in the pocket...I would think teaching a guy to get rid of the ball would be easier than teaching one to overcome his fear of standing in the pocket. I love Woodson's potential, and as long as Keenan Burton stays healthy and the o-line plays decent ball, he should have another good season. I still think he'll be the second QB taken in the draft next year behind Mr. Brohm.

August 28, 200719 yr Die hard UK fan here. I would say Andre is very slightly overrated at this point. I don't think he is 1st team All-American, but he is a top 5 QB.
