Last week we took care of the shower curtain question, so let's move on to another area of the bathroom. Which way is best?

OK, this is a pet peeve of mine. The paper is supposed to hang in front of the roll, not down the wall. I used to have instructions from Charmin, yes they print instructions for toilet paper, they stated that the toilet paper was to roll away from the wall.

Also, they stated that you will use up to three times as much toilet paper if the roll is not placed on the dispenser, say leaving a roll on the vanity. So, to save some money, place the roll on the dispenser.

Doesn't matter, just more concerned it's there.

Do not have it on a roll. Sits on the top of the toilet or on the corner of the sink.

I concur.

That's the best way.

Gee, something that I really understand, tolielt paper!!

In my twenty plus years as a GM in the Hospitaliy Industry, and running a Welcome Center that averaged over 5,000 peolpe a day using the restroom, I have been in contact with a lot of toilet paper. Every Hotel that I was associated with, required the housekeepers to fold the toilet paper a certain way and that was done to make sure the paper rolled from the top.

Always at the Welcome Center where it was nothing to go throught 30 to 35 casses a week of paper, we were required by contact to have the paper roll from the top, and it is not just that you use more paper when it isn't on a roller, but it really is a health issue when it isn't, so I would never ever use a roll that was left on the counter or on the back of the toilet.....

Now just don't forget to wash your hands when you finish, as you would be surprised, at just how many people don't... :creepy:

I can't believe noone with children has said that the toilet paper wall fixture has been yanked off of their wall so many times that the roll now sits independently, on its side, at a convenient spot near the commode. Welcome to the Hotel Hearsay.

I have solved the centuries old question of which way the paper should hang.

I said in front, but could care less, met a girl my first year of college that flipped out over this though.

My wife and I disagree about this...I say front, she says back.....so at our house you will find both, depending on who put the current rolls on.
