Congratulations Barry.

A phenomonal player who has worked very hard to get where he is.

I applaud.

Leave it to the WorldWide leader to screw up a record of this magnitude. Here is the graphic that appeared on ESPN.com in the moments after his home run.

Think ESPN will be advertising for a new webmaster soon?

Congrats to Barry!

Now hopefully he hits 756 his first game back home!

I was also very surprised by the number of cheers. It was going to happen eventually, now he just needs to hit one more and we can all move on to football. Unless of course you are a fan of one of the contending teams.

Then again, I'm sure many of us are already thinking about football.

I feel so stupid right now, Thursday minutes before leaving work I was reading the newspaper. I had a bit of an epiphony(spelling), and stood up and told a few people Bonds would hit 755 this weekend. I then said "It'll probably be on Saturday, and I'll probably be a lil annebriated, and it'll be neat seeing history like that, but I'll see it a couple hours after it happens."

Well I went out on the boat today, had a good time, drank a good bit, ate supper, came home, and fell asleep from about 8-11, only to wake up and see the news. It was strange, because when I first saw the headlines, I was just kinda thinking to myself "well Duh"

Looking back I strongly regret not also voicing this info on here as well.

Congrats to Barry!

You wouldn't happen to have visions of lottery numbers would you? :p

COME ON BARRY!!!!!!!!!!!

We can start a third thread on the topic if you want to post in that one too.

No, not yet, but if I do, sense you asked first, I'll let you know if any come to me, and we'll split the earnings. We've both gotta buy a ticket though, some times I have double vision which could pose a small problem.

I really do wish I'd said something here though, for the past how many ever weeks USA Today has been running it they show Barry HR's, Hanks, who Barry plays next, and how he did last. I looked at it for atleast 2-3 weeks, and Thursday when I did, I knew it'd be this weekend. One of those weird things where you don't even know if you believe yourself, that you called it.

I did write my co-workers though and they were all very impressed.

At 30, I'm quite a bit bigger than I was at 20, as well. What can I attribute it to? Probably a bigger a frame and the 6 days a week that I spend in the local gym pumping iron. I could be wrong though...

I'm the same way. Course I have spent most of my time eating chips, pizza, soda, hot dogs and cheeseburgers 7 days a week.

He could be a cousin of the klumps.

He could just be normal.
