DragonFire
Gotta tell you, unless they're piping in cheers, there is a lot more cheering than I thought there would be. Very few audible boos.
DragonFire
Clay Hensley will now be a trivia question. Plant that one in your brains somewhere.
UKBLUE1964
There was alot of noticeable boo's at the Reds game back when he hit #751 in GABP. But I stood up and clapped.
SvFan4life
IMO, this is a sad day in baseball. Yes I may be in the minority but I hated seeing this happen (wasn't actually watching the game, it was on from baseball tonight and heard the announcers yellin, turned around and seen it was him so I turned it). I hope A-Rod can hit 257+ homeruns as quickly as possible so Baroid Bonds will not have alot of time saying he's #1.
Bandit29
No you are not going to be in the minority, just ask Hank.

STRIKE3
I've watched Bonds from his days at Arizona State, to the Pirates and now Giants. He's always seemed to be a little standoffish and self-absorbed off the field but on the field, he's always been one of the best. His hitting and ability to steal, early in his career. His defensive ability and arm strength also. Bonds has always had a great eye and quick hands. This accomplishment began in 1986 and not in recent years. He deserves the credit, for being the greatest HR hitter of all-time....like him or not.

DragonFire
Heh. That last pitch came nowhere near the strike zone. Didn't want to be known as the guy that gave up 755 AND 756 did ya?

oldrambler
I just saw this thread and a replay on t.v., I was watching Andy Griffith and the Sara Evans concert on t.v.instead . I respect the record but I cannot give congrats bc I respect the record. I agree that Bonds no doubt would had been known as one of the best of all time w/o the juice and creams but that has discredited him ............with me anyway. I will say on the replays that I saw it was a nice moment to see with him and his boy at home plate and his little girl in the box seats with her mother. I do hope that a fan got the ball and will cash it in to the highest bidder, at least make some $$$ off of him. Back to Andy, Barney and the gang now.
