If you live in a low spot in your town, there's probably no hope whatsoever of killing off the critter's food source. Ground like that's just too rich and grubs and other worms that moles love tend to thrive in those kind of spots. Best bet: Watch the fresh dirt risers closely, and if you see one moving, the mole's in there right then. Get your pitchfork, drive it straight in to the molehill, and you should come back with a freshly killed prize. Best shot I ever pulled was when I speared one straight through its snout. It was a momma too, with fresh young ones by the look of her teats, so I managed to get more bang for my buck by killing her off.

August 6, 200719 yr I had moles something fierce(sp) a couple of years ago. I purchased a couple sonar sticks through Northern Tool and placed them in my yard. They were gone the next day. They cant stand the vibration!!!!!! One Stick covers about 5000 square feet. I swear by them:ylsuper:
August 6, 200719 yr You specified yard, and still got smart comments.:lol: But, the best way to get rid of ground moles is to get rid of their food source. They eat grub worms you can get a granule mix that you spread on the yard to kill the grub worms, the moles will leave your yard to find food elsewhere. Now your neighbors may not like you to much, but pass the advise on. If that don't work shoot them:D :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Correct, Buy and spread the mix that gets rid of the grubs and the Moles leave.
