Bowling Green, Danville, Ashland and Paducha are all winners from there Dist.

Who's the favorite in state or is there one?

Paducah is pitching rich. They boast three d1 pitchers. Always seem to be in the final four and will be hosting this years National Regional.

 

Bowling Green is usually offensive minded. They also seem to be in the final four year in and year out. They put up runs in bunches.

 

Danville has Louisville Slugger All American Rich Witten. He is extremely talented and was an invitee to the U. S. Olympic trials.

 

Ashland seems to be pretty steady defensively. It seems like when the error bug shows up it hits the whole team really hard. Then they get well and are pretty steady for a couple weeks. Pitching has been consistant since early July. With Fyffe , Blanton , Bias and Barnett they feel like they have a chance to win every time out. Wright and Dehoff have been performing well of late and with Branham as the closer and Bowling to relieve or start it seems like there are plenty of arms. Very young though in terms of American Legion Baseball. Fyffe, Blanton and Branham are the only ones who will not be back next summer. Lately the sixers offense has been on fire. If they can keep putting up the numbers they could still be hanging around come Friday afternoon. (FINAL FOUR)

Paducah's pitching staff won't have all of their bullets. Clint Tilford (Kentucky) is expected to join them for next week's regional tournament, as could Daniel Webb if he's cleared after recovering from a broken foot. Gabriel Shaw (Louisville) and lefty Tyler Hall (Murray State) are expected to pitch the first two games.

I heard Danville was beating Shelbyville pretty badly in the first game ... something like 12-2 in the sixth.

 

Paducah is romping over Owensboro ... 17-3 at the moment.

Good luck tonight as the local Ashland Post 76 takes on Metcalf Post 65 at 8pm. :thumb:
