Paducah is best team in state tournament. Well coached ! Be hard to beat.

Danville beat Bowling Green by the 10-run rule, then beat Paducah 15-5 to force a second championship game. Rich Witten pitched well through seven innings. Finals on Sunday at 2 p.m.

 

Both teams advance to the regional next week in Paducah.

Paducah won 10-4 ...

Early this summer, Paducah had a tendency to play to the level of their competition. They've won 22 of their last 26 games since late June, I believe.

 

Shaw has signed at Louisville. Paducah expects to have UK pitcher Clint Tilford back soon (he pitched in a college league this summer) and the hope is that Heath ace Daniel Webb can come back after breaking a foot in the high school state tournament.

 

Paducah is hosting the Mid-South Regional in a couple of weeks. With that deep of a pitching staff, Paducah could have a shot at getting back to the Legion World Series.

 

I talked to Daniel yesterday and he said that the only way he would be ready to pitch for Post 31 is if they make it into the World Series.

Good luck to Paducha. They will represent this great state well. It sounds like they have a good chance to go the world series. Pitching is 85% of baseball and it sounds like they are loaded.
