Paducah and Ken-Tenn qualify from District 1. Ken-Tenn beat Tri-County on a walkoff 3-run homer by Hickman County product (and Murray State signee) Steven Bayko.

 

District final scheduled for Friday night, but rain could get in the way.

Danville defeats Campbellsville by a score of 12 to nothing. They are still trying to decide what other team goes out of this region. Campbellville's has filed a protest against Somerset for not having a 12 man roster and the coaches not being in proper uniform. The deceision is in the state directors hands. Tune if tomorrow for the results.

Shelbyville beats Oldham Co. 21-3. We play Ashland again tomorrow, but no matter what both teams will move on to the state tournament.

No, the regional tournament is what is played after the state tournaments are completed. Paducah hosts the Mid-South Regional in two weeks.

As far as I know, the local tournament has always been called the district tournament. I suppose anyone can call it whatever they want.

What is the complete schedule for the state tournament this week in Ashland? I know Danville plays Shelbyville on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. I guess a winner plays a runner-up from the other districts format.

Anyone have the score of the district finals??

Paducah vs. Owensboro, 2 p.m.

Ken-Tenn vs. Bowling Green, 5 p.m.

Ashland vs. Metcalfe County, 8 p.m.

It's a double-elimination tournament like the old College World Series. I believe the championship game is Saturday.
