The first scrimmage can be that way. I am sure that by gametime, they will be ready. :ylsuper:

Ludlow had some really high points though. QB Jarrett Rouse looked strong throwing for atleast 200 yards and 2 td's. He also rushed for another. The line needs to clean up blocking assignments and not much will stop him.

Sounds good. :thumb:

I know TB&G won't say when they scrimmage but can anyone elaborate on how Trimble has looked in any scrimmages they may have had?

I know the date of this game... but does anyone actually know what time kick off is??????????????

Charlie, as you can imagine, the Raiders are demonstrating strengths and weaknesses. I guarantee you that those weaknesses will be strengths by gametime. ;)

Kickoff is at 8:30.

I will assume that one of the "weaknesses" you speak of is the passing attach that at times was non-existent last year and coupled with the loss of a very good QB from that team. Does it really look as if Coach Poynters Raiders will be more balanced this year?

This is really shaping up to be a very good game and with the atmosphere that both teams fans will apparently bring this should be exciting.:dancingpa Henry County has great facilities for a High School football game.:ylsuper:

I would think that any of our opponents would agree that Trimble did not utilize the pass last year as much...but they didn't need to, with Bird. I would say that several defenses will be zeroed in on him this year. Some won't be able to stop him, regardless. But for those that might, the Raiders better bring something else to the table. I think that new offensive coordinator Steve Kunselman will have a positive influence on the versatility of the offense this year.

Anyone know if either of these teams have been able to practice lately with this heat?

First real game of the year... Ludlows first bowl game in a long time if not ever. I see a ton of people here. Pending whether of course that can always cut down on the numbers. Any update on Buddy Lundsford?

Not true, it hasn't even been 10 years since our last bowl game. Our last bowl game was in either 98 or 99....

Love the optimism! And they should be improved on last year. But reality is this defense gave up 44 to Holy Cross, 45 to Beechwood, and 50 to NCC while scoring a total of 14 points in all three games combined.

Ludlow had some injuries last year but the defense just wore down in games against teams with a capable offense.

Well you know I am as big of a Ludlow fan as there is, and well Im sure you have seen that I haven't said to much about this years team yet if that means anything...

IMO this years team is a big question mark on how they will do. Ludlow definitely has the skill position players with with alot of speed. But they are not a very big team, and the whole line is very inexperienced. There defense should be pretty good, but I not going to say it is going to be a dominating defense like my friend uncle charlie is saying. I know IMO though this years team is a big question mark to me on how they will do, and I probably will have a better idea on how I think they will do after the first scrimmage...

Both Buddy Lundsford and Jake Helmer have been missing practice time lately. I have no details on the injuries but these are supposed to be Ludlow's top dogs on D. It should be interesting if they can't get to 100% by game time. Inexperienced players will have to step it up.

WHo does Trimble scrimmage?

Trimble was at the Grant jamboree and played grant (i believe) and lewis co (who had only like 16 kids) after that. Do not know anymore about scrimmages than that. See you at the DQ game on the Saturday 25th in Henry? Coach Buckett you going to KSU game on the 25th?

Actually The Panthers play that night against Campbellsville. So I will be there trying to pull out a win.
