Hey True Blue. No you don't want your team peaking in a scrimmage but you don't want to go out and fall on your face either.

All the talk is about how this is the best team ever in Bedford, seems I heard that last year. Henry County made you look bad. You better prepare for a very good Ludlow team. Cause they coming to get 'ya.

Your big fullback will not have any effect on the game Saturday. He'll be done by the second quarter. Too much beef to move in this heat. Looking forward to this weekend!

Well, I have eaten my fair share of crow, but I will take my chances that I will be feeding you a healthy serving of it on Sunday.:p I have seen tape of both of Ludlow's scrimmages and I am not scared!

Henry did not make us look bad last year. Circumstances made us look bad. Two of our best players (RB/LBs) did not play - one at all and one not after the 1st quarter. If we could have played them any other week that season...well, that is all water under the bridge.

Our big fullback will be just fine. I doubt either Henry or Ludlow has a defensive line the size of Anderson's...and Jones can carry five or six guys at least 10 yards on any carry. He has done so on two occassions preseason.

Welcome to the site! Sounds like you are up for some heated debate. Who is your team, anyway? From this post it sounds like Henry, but in your last post you were asking questions about them, so I wager I know what colors you wear on Friday night. :sssh:

Lunatic1, will you provide the crow Sunday morning? Either me or 70 will need to eat a heap of it.

Well I am a Ludlow fan, but calm down with all this talk man...I know I believe Ludlow will win too, but a couple people on here have tried to make Ludlow seem like World beaters and would beat anyone. Ludlow is and will be a very good team, but they have ALOT they need to improve on still.

Oh, come now...Bird alone will have at least four touchdowns. ;)

Not that you can go off a previous year for predictions, but Ludlow only put up 34 points in one game last year according to the KHSAA Riherds Scoreboard. I realize they were young so maybe another year of maturity will help them.

I know we can get carried away in posting comments, but here it is one time and one time only....

2. No disparaging, taunting, or boastful comments--especially between opponents trying to intimidate each other. This includes name calling or personal attacks toward any member, their username, or school. Also, keeping in mind the youth of our student athletes, excessive "bashing" is prohibited in the high school forums.

Enough said....:thumb:

Well..I can certainly serve the crow...Do you want it on the Barbie or just raw?:thumb: . I learned a long time ago not to make too strong of statements on this site because in High School ball of any kind you just never know.

Sometimes the team that should win has an off night or the underdog really comes through!

Good Luck on Friday I will be in Gallatin County fighting with Buttels!

Thanks, Lunatic1!

I plan on attending the GC/CC game on Friday, too. We play Ludlow on Saturday at 8:30 pm. Maybe you can meet Ol#70 and me there and serve us our crow right on the field!

Yeah true, however Ludlow is 10 times better this year on offense, especially when it comes to the skill positions. They already have Buddy Ludsford who set records last year at receivers, but now also have two guys who weren't playing high school football last year who are playing this year and are at receivers who just make amazing plays. Look for Betz, and Grant Logan to have big years this year. Also Ludlow has 3 very good runningbacks in Mills, Montooth, and Banks..Not to mention last year their QB was a guy who had not played QB in 3 years and didn't have any varsity experience at all at QB, and he looks 10 times better this year, and he had a good year last year for a 1st year QB. This years Ludlow team is going to win games by scoring points, and if their defense can improve and start to do better they will end up having ALOT of success...

Hey Bird could score 4 tds, but that would make the score a little closer thats all, but Ludlow would still be on top...:p

Actually, this makes the two teams sound pretty similar. Our QB in a senior, but he got 6 games experience as a sophomore. We also have a star player RB (Bird) who set records and was All State, we have a couple more RBs to take the pressure off of him and a new WR to add to Peters from last year. We also have a new recruit at middle linebacker and he is just plain deadly! Then there is the fullback...if your defense is not elite, you are not going to stop him or Bird. Points won't be a problem for the Raiders, either. It will come down to defense. This isn't a problem for the Raiders.

Should be pretty easy for Ludlow, Coach go on out on that limb you know it will be something like 49-7

Im sorry but not many defenses in the state of KY, and I know the fullback and Bird are great players but if they are that good where only ELITE defenses can stop them, then I better be seeing Trimble County make the semis or state finals, and I sorry but I dont see that happening...

I think they will move the ball pretty good on Ludlow because I have not been impressed with what I saw or expected of the defense so far. However I do believe Ludlow will make them put drives together and will make their drives for short alot of times and not score everytime...

Nope I not going to predict that at all. I have no doubt the offense probably could put up that many points. But the defense I am not sold on yet to be able to shut down Trimble that much to hold them to 7. Newport was able to run alot on the defense, and the backs for Trimble are better than Newports...I hope your right on your prediction but I will stick to mine

Well, last year Trimble was knocked out by the eventual state runner up (Danville) and Bird had a touchdown on them...against their first string. At least in Danville, they respect him...and I don't mean this disrespectually, but Ludlow is no Danville.

Evidently, it will come down to the defensive end of things...Coach Poynter will have the Raiders ready.

With almost 200 posts and 2000 views, this has become quite the popular thread. Thanks, Uncle Charlie!

I was going to say the same thing, I kept looking at this thread going, ehhh I really dont care about this game. However after seeing 178 posts I started reading it. You guys really love your programs. :thumb:

Interesting stuff. Ludlow sounds like they have some really skilled kids this year and should be fun to watch with the mix of pass/run. Sorry to hear Rigney stadium is in the shape its in. That was always a tough place to play.
