THUNDERBIRDS
Here you go boom.. http://www.odh.state.oh.us/alerts/ohiosmokingban.aspx So basically this doesn't pertain to outdoor dining. I guess if you are outdoors and having a casual dinner smoking is aloud!!!!!:irked:
MJAlltheWay24
I tell you what...it is really nice to go to a bar in Ohio if you are a non smoker.

But you're not going to have anyone to talk to because they are just about empty. The Ohio smoking ban is the best thing to happen to NKY bars EVER! The Ohio smoking ban is the best thing to happen to NKY bars EVER! I don't really know if it has made that big of a difference. I usually stay in NKY myself just because I don't feel like crossing the river, but every time I go to the Lodge on 7th St. it's crazy packed. MJAlltheWay24
I went there once when it first opened. Its a nice place and your right it was very packed. A couple of our guys had special Happy Hours there from 7-10 where the drinks were pretty cheap and then we stayed there and it got super packed. They have had really great cover bands everytime I've been too.

Hasbeen
I try very hard not to allow my smoking to be an incovenience to others. I never smoke indoors in a public place even when it is permitted. I am willing to give up anyplace that I smoke for the benefit of non-smokers but I seldom find that courtesy recipriated. For example, I recently traveled to Ohio and went out to dinner with friends. Went a friend and I went outside afterward for a smoke, he said we were not allowed within 50 ft. of the entrance. That's fine with me especially since they had set up a smoking area with ashtrays in the parking lot. However, we found that was also a staging area for the carriage rides they were offering. After a few dirty looks and feigned coughing, we moved further away only to encounter the same looks as people exited there cars and purposely walked past us. I finally just kept moving around the parking lot, moving to a different location any time someone came into the area. I really don't think it would be unreasonable to designate some small corner in the distant end of the parking lot for smokers.

UKBLUE1964
The Ban not only pertains to dining and bars but also Workplace. At my work they have built outside smoking areas. Which is great, but the two smoke rooms they had before still smell like a old hotel room,
NamecipS
My only problem with the smoking ban is at the stadiums. There should be some place there that smokers can go.
