Campbell County's New Coach????

I would be shocked if the hire didn't come from Newport.

What has he done at Newport? They play a pretty weak schedule and haven't exactly set the world on fire.

The coach from Newport? What's his name? First I've heard of that. Have you heard any chatter about this at CCHS?

Totally agree. :thumb:

Of course I am biased but I think Tony Bacigalupo would be a good fit at Campbell.

The Sup. that caused all the changes in the Sullivan era is long gone, and the principal that caused the football coach and AD to leave is gone now too. The new principal is more athletically inclined and I think it would be a great place to coach if indeed Reitz is leaving.

Old Soda - When are you going to give up the bashing on Campbell County employees? The principal is gone, much to the disappointment of many! If you really believe that the football coach and AD left Campbell County because of the principal then you really do not have all the information correct. If the principal was so anti-sports then why hasn't the baseball coach left or other coaches from other sports? There are many of us in Campbell County who truely love Campbell County and bleed purple because we want to make a difference! I am asking you to stop negative comments about our school district - your school district too!

What has he done at Newport? He has coached, mentored, fathered and taught athletes! He has given his time and heart to children!

Obiviously you haven't reviewed many of my posts. I only speak what most think and most are not disappointed with those folks gone. I think you better check your sources and not worry about mine. If you will take a look at the district website you will see several coaching positions available. Why not apply for one and really get on the bandwagon.

Isn't that what a teacher and coach is supposed to do? I am asking about the basketball program. I do believe that is what the thread is about here. The next coach at Campbell County. Glad to see Tiger 1 agrees.

Coaches are supposed to do the things you mentioned. I think the post was referencing wins and losses. These two things count a lot to the school administration too!

Exactly what I was referring to Tiger 1. Thanks.

I have read quite a few of your posts! Very sad that you have such unkind words about so many people in the district where you work. Been there - done that - the coaching thing at Campbell County and only hope that other coaches will not be treated the way that I was treated, except those who deserve to be! I am asking you to stop the negative comments on the past. I am not sure who all you speak for but if you feel the urge to keep it up then so be it! Time catches up with people!

CS, I am sure we have a common goal. That is the success of our district and our students. Because we go about it different ways or have different ideas on how it should be done doesn't make either of us wrong. Let's just hope the decision on a new coach is the correct one for the sake of Camel basketball.

Could you give me some background on Tony Bacigalupo, I am not familar with him.

Tony is the former head coach at Silver Grove. He stepped down after last season because he felt he couldn't give the job the attention it needed due to the time he had to spend at his full time job away from coaching. I believe he is a former NCC athlete.
