Campbell County's New Coach????

Featured Replies

That is my number one goal and I wish each and every day that good decisions will be made in our school district - FOR CHILDREN! I guess you are right, we will agree to disagree!

Anyone know if last year's JV coach (the old Brossart player who's name is excaping me--Ensweiler maybe) has applied? He looked like he had those kids playing with much more disipline and headed in the right direction. Whoever comes in needs to do a better job developing the talent IMO, than has been happening the last few years. It just seemed to me like the kids didn't progress as they moved along from Frosh to JV to Varisty like some of the better programs in the area??

Tony is the former head coach at Silver Grove. He stepped down after last season because he felt he couldn't give the job the attention it needed due to the time he had to spend at his full time job away from coaching. I believe he is a former NCC athlete.

Thanks now I remember who he is, is a good coach but I don't believe that his job situation has changed and CCHS I am sure wants someone in the building not a paraprofessional.

Dave Enzweiler is a great young coach but probably does not have the experience to be a head coach just yet. Give him a few good years under an experienced coach and he will make a great head. Not sure he has applied but I hope that he stays on in a coaching role with whoever gets the position. Coach Maddy is also a good young coach who gained the respect of his players over the past few years. Not sure he is quite ready yet but a definite positive for the program.

Totally agree with you ballerm. Hopefully they will fit into the new coach's plans.

I think Brad Carr would be a good fit. They need someone in there that is going to get in the kids' grill and make them work. They have some nice talent coming up in the middle school and Carr would get the most out of those kids. Plus he is a younger guy who the kids could relate to a little better possibly. Nothing against Reitz, he has had a great career in coaching but obviously he felt more comfortable in HC so best of luck.

I doubt Code goes anywhere, Brossart is a basketball factory year in year out as of late.

I don't think they were talking about Mike Code. I could see Scott taking the job if given the opportunity. It would be a GREAT hire for CCHS. He is going to make a very good head coach someday and it would add a little flavor the BBHS/CCHs rivalry. :D

There are names coming in that are not being talked about on this thread. This job will not go begging and the principal will have a hard choice with very good candidates to decide on.

old teacher, you must have a part time gig to still be hanging at CCHS or you have a lot of free time to think about things (didn't have enough planning periods?);)

May I ask you a question?? How are you privy to the candidates names that are coming in for this position. Are these not confidential? I am a little confused? Enlighten me please.

Details from CCHS confidential? With the people who work in the offices?

If they are not confidential than who is aplying?

Time to apply for position ends on the 19th and we have tossed about quite a few candidates and some speculation about who has said no but who has actually applied?

This seems pretty quick to close the applications, even though I realize timing is essential this time of year? It would seem they've got an option or two already in mind? I'm another that expects a quick answer, possibly by the weekend?

Innuendos and insinuations are the tools of the ignorant or uninformed.

I did hear that a former Brossart coach has applied and has had 2 conversations with the Super. He is pretty tight with several of the CC folks.

Would that be the coach at Highlands? Do you suppose Coach Schlarman would like a return to the 10th Region? He would definitely be a good fit for the Camels.
