Verst had a 7-1 record last year with an ERA around 3. He didn't get as much recognition because of the pitchers in the senior class. Woodruff started the year well last year, but didn't finish off very strong.

Verst is a pretty good pitcher, but last year i can't recall him pitching against any quality teams. Woodruff has been a proven pitcher over the last couple of years.Woodruff is one of the best pitchers in NKY. If the Camels develop some other pitching i can see them going far this year. They had a load of talent at the JV level last year.

He pitched against some decent opponents. His curveball is vicious.

Harrison, Campbell, maybe Clark and Montgomery and Scott will be at the head of the class next spring.

I agree totally with you.

Now after reading the posts in here about the top pitcher in the 37th this year, I think you are forgetting about Zac Adams of Scott High School.

You guys may or may not have heard of him but he will be a senior this year but he received an injury last year the 2nd game of the season. He suffered a sprained rotator cuff and because of that he didn't pitch all year with the Eagles or the Kentucky Colonels during the summer (and he made the team as a pitcher).

I think the 37th will become very familiar with him on the mound this year and with Jordan Adkins with him they will contend for the 37th district and the 10th Region

As of right now Jordan is Scotts number one. 8-2 with a 2.16 era and 56 K's speaks for its self. Anyone have any clue where region will be held this year.

All this talk is great, we'll just have to wait and see who plays where and how these teams are coached !

I've heard the regional tournament is supposed to be held at Scott next year.

I think that is where it is supposed to be held, but not a 100% sure...

I agree with those picks as the front runners in the tenth. I think a little should be said for Nicholas Co. They lost there outfield and the livingood kid that pitched but have a pretty good nucleus coming back with Mynear and Campbell on the hill. All the infield is back and the outfield shouldn't be hard to replace. Granted there no powerhouse but all it takes to get out is to beat Pendleton or Deming because of seeding. Should do pretty well this year.

Are you sure? I believe it has to be played at field with lights.I could be wrong. But it has been played at either Campbell Co,Harrison Co or Clark Co the last few years.Or did Scott add lights in the last couple years?

Copperhead, the number 2 spot in the district is a toss up...All 3 could beat the other on any given night

I believe Region #10 is at Scott, subject to inspection and site criteria approval by the KHSAA.

So do you need lights or not S3?

So do you need lights or not S3?
Yes, in Regional play, sites must meet Musco lighting standards and if not, subsequent sites are selected.

I would also presume, any deviation from this Requirement, would have to be voted on by the participating 10th Region teams and approved by the KHSAA.

So I'm guessing Scott must have installed lights in the last 4 or 5 years. The last time I was there they had somebody running a concession stand out of a van and seating for about 40 people.Maybe they have upgraded.:thumb:
