Pre-season 10th Region Baseball

I would not over look Montgomery this year, they have a solid core coming back from last years team that upset 10th region power Bourbon County in the first round of 40th district, also remember the name Cody Curtis, the kid could do big things on the diamond this year for the Indians.

Not to take anything away from Montgomery but Bourbon just didn't seem to be the same team as they were the year before and didn't play anywhere near to the potential they had. But still it was a very nice win for them and it was a suprising upset as many didn't see it coming even with Bourbon not being themselves.

Bourbon was far from impressive last year. But it was nice to see Montgomery make it to the region.

By the way the only JV player to see the field in the varsity game that night was a pinch runner who was picked off first base!!!!!!!!!!!

Who won that Varsity game? ;)

I have heard that brossart has 2 pretty solid freshmen that will see some varsity action this year any truth to this?

No...

I think the Eagles are gaining ground on the Thoroughbreds and fast!

Should be a great year in the 10th!

Anything can happen, but Scott still has a ways to go to catch the Thorobreds and GRC in Baseball. March 24th can't get here quick enough for me. Harrison hasn't been able to get on the field because of the storm damage that was done on the Hilltop when the February tornadoes ripped through Harrison County. The light poles are leaning and the backstop was destroyed when a ste of bleachers was blown over the backstop onto the field.

Agreed, to be the champs, you have to beat the champs.

This actually is true. Brossart does indeed have two pretty solid frshmen that could probably see some varsity time this season.

i dont know if you can give names but that would be good if you could but do you think they can make an impact on the varsity level?

Yes they both have potential to make an impact but only time will tell.

It does not fair well for your team in the long run if your freshmen are the best you have without them beating out some already existing varsity players

Yes but when there are no returning starters for that team a freshmen has just as much of a chance as any other player. When that spot has not been taken by any of the players and a freshmen is better than the others, the freshmen deserves to play. No matter if he did or didn't beat someone out. The game is about winning not what is fair. If playing freshmen will help a team win that team should play the freshmen.
