Good Defensive High School Teams shut this kid down, how will he be any good in D-2??

 

He could play at Thomas More, but NKU? This can't be right. No way NKU has given a scholarship to him and NOT Austin Hill or Corey Pelle or Todd Jacobs.

I'm going to assume that had Austin Hill wanted to play and had the requirements met that he'd be at NKU. No way I believe Bezold didn't recruit him.

Apparently this is right and they are giving a scholarship to Corey Sorrell. They are great players but could grades have something to do with the first two mentioned in your post not getting offers from NKU?

I would venture to say that since Pelle was admitted to another D-II caliber school that he could have gotten admission to NKU.

Grades were not an issue with Pelle to NKU. NKU left his recruitment to one of the assistants and West Liberty State outrecruited NKU for his services with daily contact.

I wasn't aware NKU had raised their academic standards. They were very low in 1981:D

I'd hate to see Nick go to NKu and do any kind of playing. I really hope he steps up his defense this year because he is a special player offensively. He is getting plenty of exposure with the KY shining stars.

His brother transferred to SK, but as far as I know Corey is still at HC.

The Sorrell's have moved out to the Southern Kenton Co area.

 

There are rumors about Corey transferring to SK. Rick Bolus, who has a high potential recruiting service for ky prep hoops, has his list of players for next year and he has Corey listed at Simon Kenton, not Holy Cross.

Bolus has to get his information from somewhere but it seems that there would have been a lot more talk if this transfer had already occurred. This is a pretty high profile kid in the N Ky area.

 

SK could potentially be very strong if this has actually happened.
