I don't think he's washed up. Plus, if Bray works out like we think he will, once he's ready, Lidge becomes expendable. And in a thin market for pitching, the Reds can hold a lot of teams up for ransom.

They still lose. Dunn is not a difference-maker, and sluggers can be had a lot cheaper than closers.

You are, of course, operating under the assumption that young players like BP, E5, Hobbs and Hopper will not continue to improve. And that the farm is completely dry like it was in Leatherpants' days.
