I didn't know SportzAddict lived in Lexington.

What is your personal grudge against me? Is this all over you being so wrong about Morris.. let it go.

I could care less about anyones list. I used to get into rankings and all that years ago but it's so over-rated. All it did was help Katz fill a vacant column.

My point is I hear UK fans complaining all the time about this announcer or that writer "doesn't like the 'Cats." Heck, I've even heard people go so far as to suggest whole networks (ESPN) have it in for Kentucky.

My other point would be that a lot of UK fans need to get over their self-importance and this bunker mentality about the school they root for. Most people don't care one way or another.

Bravo!:thumb:

It could be that the hate Atlanta. It also could be that while Atlanta is a major market, it dwarfs in comparrison to the New York and Boston markets. Hasn't Atlanta had trouble selling out playoff games in the recent past?

Yes they have.

As a lifelong Atlanta fan I have my thoughts on that but thats for another thread......

Since the Braves are readily available on TV every night to the entire country, they are already overexposed. No point in ESPN adding to that.

Not talking about the media coverage, I'm talking about the non-sellout playoff games

Oh. Well, we all know the reason for that. People are too worried about football at that point in the season.

Yeah, you're right. He's just one of many involved in the insidious, broad-based anti-UK conspiracy.

So you admit that it exists.:sssh:

Only in the minds of Kentucky fans ...

............and some ones on here that love to "stir the pot" :sssh:

It's as simple as this...Everyone is out to get UK...;)

Thats the only logical answer. :thumb:

Probably the same people who whine about Billy Packer, ignoring the fact that Packer is hyper-critical about EVERY team, not just UK.

I agree with what you are saying about Packer, except he does have an ACC bias. I dont like Packer period. He constantly says stuff in analyzing that is wrong, and is getting old.

Katz doesnt necessarily have it out for Kentucky, but he isnt very supportive of Kentucky either. And that is fine, leaving us out of the top 10 IMO is pretty off, but hes entitled to his.

Vitale's remark was the most bothersome to me when he said the first day on the job at Kentucky as coach would be his best. He is usually positive, but it has really made me like Vitale much less.

Guys like Bilas and Clark Kellogg do an outstanding job. I value their opinions over everyone elses easily right now.

And Larry Conley and Tim Brando are biased toward the SEC. These things happen when that's what you cover most of the time.

That tells me you're putting too much stock in what he says. Katz is an idiot. I've known this for some time.

Actually, I kind of find it refreshing that he parted from his normal cheerleader ways. Vitale is freakin' annoying with his roses and sunshine act. And he's right. The looney behavior by many in the UK fan base has turned the job from one of the best to one that only a special kind of person can handle. I wouldn't want it because UK fans are never satisfied with anything.

Couldn't agree more.

The difference is you do not see Conley and Brando doing many big nationally televised games outside the SEC. Packer gets 1st pick of big games in March. And Conley Kentucky guy or not a Kentucky guy do a much better job than Packer.
