98NCCalum Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 They now have no choice. There is clearly a problem in this clubhouse. the play on the field is abysmal, the coaching is terrible, and something needs to change. They can not clean house now, values are too low and we're too far from the trade deadline. You have to change something or risk losing the fans for the next 4 months entirely, they didn't even come close to selling out a bobble head night. (That makes me sick that that's even a thought that's worth mentioning) Jerry Narron must go. (If one person says "well he's not out there on the mound or popping out with the bases loaded" clearly has no clue and will make me get sick!!!!)
Jumper_Dad Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 :thumb: I concur, I like him but something as to be done.
nyrangers Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I would be shocked if he makes it to the all star break. It is obvious that a change is necessary. He is obviously not providing the leadership to get this team in track. Who do you think are the options to replace him?
ladiesbballcoach Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 There are several of them wearing a Reds uniform that do not need to be in a Reds uniform in the coming weeks.
98NCCalum Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 There are several of them wearing a Reds uniform that do not need to be in a Reds uniform in the coming weeks.Correct, but those guys need to be released, we can't get anything for them.
cshs81 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I'll go the other way, 98. I say he's around for quite a while. IMO Krivsky has a bit of a stubborn streak and will keep him around.
98NCCalum Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 He'd be nothing but a sacrificial lamb...Did you think that about Bruce Coslet and Dick Lebeau?
NamecipS Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Whatever Castellini said in the clubhouse yesterday must not have worked. Narron won't make it past the all-star break.
stickymitts Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Did you think that about Bruce Coslet and Dick Lebeau? Apples and oranges...
h.s.footballfan Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Give me Bucky Dent until the end of the year, then we need to hire a someone with winning experience!

HOMELESS CAMEL Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 You have already dug your grave for the year, don't know how much getting rid of Narron would solve anything. Much like watching Chrissy and George as comedic relief, watching Narron each night has become the same thing. The amazing thing, I still watch this team EVERY NIGHT, I'm sure there has to be a Forensic Files or Mythbusters on, I can't help it, this team is FASCINATING to watch. lol
98NCCalum Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Apples and oranges...I don't see much of a difference. Consecutive losing seasons, waning fan support, players who have become apathetic.......
98NCCalum Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Give me Bucky Dent until the end of the year, then we need to hire a someone with winning experience! No, because then they would go one game over .500 and the Reds would hire him. I want Girardi.
