But I did hear from the 4 "major" candidates for governor as well as State Treasurer candidates and if I'm not mistakes Attorney General. I can't believe noone has jumped on this part yet. I deal every stinkin' day with parents who choose themselves and their vices over what would be good for the child. And to legally now give them one more thing that they would do and ignore their needs of their kids, turns my stomach. If they want to ruin their life, I understand they are an adult, but when mom is wagering the grocery money on some form of gambling (and we all know it happens) and politicians say this is a good thing to bring to KY, it sickens me. I fully appreciate that if you are going to outlaw abortion, which you know I support, than you have to also have to have programs to assist families. And not programs that tear families apart. But that is a debate for another thread and not here. GO VOTE!!!!!!!!! You still have time.

I have in the past been active in the political process in Frankfort and found more doors were open to Democrats. That experience probably has as much to do with my ideology as anything. Everyone should experience first hand meeting with a member of the general assembly, talking up proposed legislation and having the first question out of their mouth be how much money can your group donate? It was a real eye opener.
May 22, 200719 yr Author I voted a little while ago. The poll workers said they were running at just over 10% for the day. I had four offices to vote for and had heard of at least one candidate in only two of the four. :cry:

May 23, 200719 yr Author Anyone see any numbers on what the turnout was? Not much going on where I vote. Turnout statewide was nearly 20 percent 14 percent in Campbell County 11.6 percent in Kenton County 11 percent in Boone County.
